That's actually Pump?

Troll award of the year goes to...

Edit: seriously though, you look like you're going to break yourself, in a terrible, terrible way.

Kind of doing my own thing right now. I plan on working my way up to BBB volume, but I dunno if I need to push that hard, especially while cutting. I like the idea of doing a slight variation for the BBB sets, like for bench do DB bench. Also, I'm not gonna do volume deadlifting, just gonna do a few sets of back squats after deadlifting. That way I can squat at least once a week.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around not doing a different movement for assistance and it being effective. It obviously works, or BBB wouldn't be as popular as it is. I think it will help my OHP since I need a lot of work on it and the added volume should help my technique.

my current plan:
Bench 5/3/1
DB Bench 3x10
"Kroc Row" one top set x20-30

Squat 5/3/1
Front Squat 3x8
Rdl 3x8

OHP 5/3/1
OHP 3x10
50+ chin ups

Deadlift 5/3/1
Squat 3x8
Hip Thrusts 3x5

working on my ab strength in the form of 3x3 rollouts from the knees with increasing ROM as I can maintain a good arch without sagging any day my abs aren't sore from a previous workout. Also, on squat and DL day, I'm trying to do 30+ chin ups over however many sets, working towards 50 chins. once I hit 50 chins consistently, I'll probably start doing weighted chins on OHP day.

Not a fan of 5/3/1 at all, HIT seems far better for time-crunched training

Wanted to come in yesterday saying this, but nothing I say gets much support unless I systematically prove it.

Though yeah 5/3/1 is not good, and iirc I think I expressed that multiple times back in the fall/summer of 2011.

I enjoyed 5/3/1 while I did it. I made good steady gains while on it. It's perfect for what harry is trying to do right now.

Thank you for the opinions.

I want you to know I respect all of your opinions on training(esp lurker). I am attracted to 5/3/1 because it is well known in the powerlifting world, and well respected there. I want to stick with it for a few cycles and see if I make progress(or maintain at a much lower BW). If 6 months from now I've regressed in my training, I'll know better. This is a lifetime thing for me, so 6 months of learning is fine by me. I am dialing in my diet and getting to a good BW, so it's not like the time will be wasted if I don't make significant strength gains.

I've made a decision, and I've got to stick with it for a little while at least to see if it works for me.

Just as long as people understand that the most important thing is how you do exercises. With how you structure your workout in terms of sets, reps and exercises being behind it.

Weirdest thing ever last time I was in the gym:
Old lady (talking >65) asked me if I was kinesiology student or something. She pointed to the focus and detail I put into my form. I told her that I am just a really into critical thinking.

Nah, more like she possesses more lifting insight than anyone I have spoken to in a gym. Pretty sure the more mature you get, the wiser you become and the less you care about the types of desires that are mostly compulsive.

Never get people commenting on how I lift ever. Get plenty of bros talking to me about the weight I move, how I am looking or what exercises, routines, reps and sets I utilize. Though nothing like the comment I received from this old woman.
