Which 1.5 bolt do you use?

Just looking to get some feedback as to what everyone is using since the 1.5 update features 2 bolts.

I haven't had much luck with the soft shot, start to get drop when my gun ramps and really don't notice any more of a smooth feel. Then again, I have only used it half of a day and put the other in.

I use the red bolt. Since you got a new bolt, make sure you put a tiny bit of lube on the inside of the bolt then slide it up and down the air guide a few times.

if 1 bolt works and the other doesn't switch the bolt o-ring size 016. And of course make sure you are lubing it before installing. Trust me, they both work like they are supposed to.

Thanks for the insight guys... Tried out the red one with some slick honey on it and the oring switch and seemed to work fine today, I'll keep it going this weekend and see.

Same here.

It was the bolt installed after the 1.5 upgrade. It has performed great and I have not bothered to try the Red bolt. Might give it a try to see if there is a difference.

Should I not be using a spring in my boss bolt? My Vanquish came with several bolts and I was having some Bolt stick issues, so I tried out the (Green/Limited Run) Boss Bolt this weekend. The silver 1.5 bolt I was switching from had a spring installed so I put the spring in with the boss bolt too.

It worked fine for a while, but I eventually had some half cycling bolt stick type issues. I opened it up and re-lubed again and it started shooting fine.

So my question is, should I be using the spring out of the silver 1.5 bolt in my Boss bolt?

Second question, Anyone know why I could be having random bolt stick occurring out of nowhere? It will puff and load the barrel up with like 4 balls and not fire again until I take the drivetrain out and re-lube it when this happens. Eyes on or Eyes off did not matter. I also noticed what looks like some nicks in the 1.5 silver bolt body, the Green boss bolt is smooth and perfect though. (I know this belongs in its own thread, but too late!)

Green bolt, no spring and vitamin g in the gun I got from zp has been the best so far

Red bolt, no spring and marmalade has also worked very well in our team guns

I was using stock dow33 (I believe) lube. I have some Lurker Lube that I may try this next time and I will remove the spring from the Green Boss Bolt. I was thinking about ordering some Monkey Poo, maybe I will try Vitamin G instead.

Would the extremely high heat have anything to do with my bolt stick/ half cycle issues? Its been nearly 100 degrees with high humidity both the times this has happened the last 2 weekends.

Puffing/half cycling is pretty common from what I've seen with our team Vanquishes. Usually just turning the air off and back on through the ASA corrects this. At MAO we had two go down with this we could not fix so they spent a night at the Empire tent tagged "no velocity." I wish I knew what they did.

As for bolts, I notice no efficiency gains after using the red and silver and rotating throughout this whole season. Two best lubes I've found are Vit G and Slick Honey. They hold up the longest and keep everything running smooth.

the difference between the red and silver bolts is that the silver bolt has an exhaust hole at the end of it (opposite side from bolt tip) this allows air to vent quicker meaning the bolt can move back quicker increasing the max potential rate of fire. The red bolt does NOT have this hole and this means that the bolt is physically prevented from reaching higher rates of fire. The red bolt literally moves slower than the silver bolt, meaning it is softer on paint.

kinda like wat PE did from ego 9 to 10, 9s were wicked fast and they intentionally slowed the 10s down for a smoother shot.
