CS1 Drop off

I am hoping someone can help me. I have a CS1 that is getting some serious drop off (+- 20 fps) when ramping (NXL Ramp). the first ball has the correct velocity and if you keep just one balling it will do just fine. I have replacing all of the o-ring in the engine, re lubed all the o-rings and resetting it to factory settings but no avail. Now the interesting part is when i drop my csr engine in it it goes away completely and ramps just fine.

It has the issue running a SLP(Hero) and LP (Nija) tanks.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue as you before. I was getting mad drop off during rapid fire. I concluded that it was my tank (SLP Ninja) that was causing the issue, being that it isnt recharging fast enough to keep up with the cs1. I cleaned and replaced the piston in my tank and I am still working out it. At the moment my only suggestion is to take your tank in for maintenance.

I reached out to both ninja and PE reps, and both parties had conflicting answers. Ninja rep said that PE does not operate well with the CS1 and PE rep says any tank will work including a slp on a cs1. I have both v2 and slp reg from ninja and will be teching my cs1 this weekend to see any differences.

So the strange part is it follows the engine. I took my CSR bolt and put it into my CS1 and the CS1 shot fine the with CSR bolt in it. This is what leads me to believe its not in the regulator. I also put the SLP on my CSR with the CSR bolt in it and the CSR ramped perfectly fine.

its a Core IV bolt for the CS1. For troubleshooting purposes I tested the CS1 with a CSR bolt.

He means what type of bolt you're running on your CS1. The hard face bolt or the soft face bolt (rubber tip bolt). The soft face bolt tips are known to occasionally swell and cause bolt stick/shoot down issues.

Personally I'd do a rebuild on your bolt engine if the CSR bolt engine shot fine in your CS1.

Yep.

Give RI a call. I'm sure someone in tech could get you sorted.

Sorry I misunderstood the questions. Both engines are using the hardtip bolt. I have done a complete rebuild of the bolts o-rings and re-grease it..

I have contacted RI and working with Aaron there.

let us know what you find out, I recently tested your theory of switching the bolt out and found that my teammates CS1 with a newer serial number shot better with a SLP tank and even when I swapped bolts.

Solution

After testing a few things what we found to work is to replace the regulator seat with a new one that the local shop had. Now we are able to get +- 5 FPS which I am happy with.
