HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. — HK Army is proud to announce signing San Diego Dynasty to a 2-year sponsorship contract running through the 2013-14 season.
Dynasty will use the full line of HK Army gear including the Hardline series gear which includes jerseys, protective pads and Pro pants plus the Eject harnesses, Rock n’ Roller gear bags, Rider backpacks, Epic Speed Feeds and Shredder Cleats.
“Dynasty is the most successful paintball team on the field and HK Army is arguably the most successful off it in terms of marketing and branding,” said Ryan Greenspan of San Diego Dynasty.
“We’ve watched their explosive growth over the past few years but we know firsthand an overnight success is ten years in the making. Our teams have always supported each other and it was time to make that relationship official.”
San Diego Dynasty is the most accomplished team in the history of paintball, having won more than 50 professional tournaments. Dynasty is a three-time Triple Crown Winner (NPPL, PSP & Millennium Series championships) and currently hold both the PSP and NPPL titles.
Dynasty will also provide valuable R&D testing of new products to be released in the coming months.
Mark Kressin of HK Army, aka Mr. H, said “Dynasty is the greatest paintball team of all time and we’ve been both lucky enough to grow up competing against them and now to have them in our stable of sponsored teams.”
You will find Dynasty wearing HK Army gear as they compete in the NPPL and PSP series events in the United States and the Millennium Series in Europe plus international events throughout Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and South America.
Team Dynasty will also partner with HK Army to promote their popular Crash at the Coast training events, Streetball events and their professional player clinics worldwide.
Dynasty has not finalized its 2013 roster; the team’s track record strongly suggests they will continue to surround their veteran core with young talent and compete at the highest level of the sport.
HK Army will support Dynasty on the field and off, collaborating to promote both brands.

Are you bloody kidding me? Are some of you kids so damn immature that you are actually thinking about not playing because a Pro-team changed companies. That is just stupid. @Pynis
I got to hang my head in shame at some of these posts. If you truly think that Dynasty switching to a growing company like HK is going to change a the industry into an apocalypse or ruin your season than maybe you should quit. Delete your account while your at it.
HK may have a slightly unorthodox image as I like to call, "The Frat of Paintball," but they are a growing company producing quality products that have held up in professional play and they are continuing to do better. From a business standpoint this is a great move for Dynasty. The image of that company will barely if not at all change Dynasty's professionalism. If you don't like HK goods, thats cool but it doesn't change the fact they have done well. I am not a dye fan, but I can't argue they are a terrible company. They make quality goods that work well for many people. I personally do not like them.
./end rant.

So it's in my opinion that most of the people who hate on HK have never actually met or played with any of the HK guys. While I'll never claim to know them personally or anything but I've met Mark and his crew and have had some dealings with his brother. All my "business" talk and their customer service for me was nothing but great, they even went out of their way to contact a vendor who was trying to make me pay for return shipping for a product that they mailed out incorrectly.
Now I'm not all for some of their designs, the more flashy stuff is not always my style, but some of their more simple products are in line with what I like, and I've had zero problems with their gear thus far.
At the Chicago event they hosted, some of their guys were giving tips and helping some of the younger plays on the speedball course, I like the fact that they took some time out and helped.
I don't understand why someone would hate a team because of a sponsorship. That's like saying you hate a certain football player who went to your college because he joined a pro team you don't like, or you has some NASCAR driver because a brand you dislike jumped on to sponsor them.
The paintball sport needs companies to jump up and expand, HK does attract a different type of player based on style, but it's wrong to jump in and say everyone who likes HK are different type of ballers (negative) because they like different style. Grow up and be mature.
There's my .02 rage away and flame me.

No, it's actually not. It's a partnership that the value is seen by both parties. Obviously Dynasty did not value that partnership enough to stay.

I like it when pro teams change sponsors. It's really interesting what they look like with their new gear, like a new haircut or something.

The HK aggletts suck, that we can all agree on. Hk Army the actual company is comprised of some cool dudes that sell fairly decent gear. Cleats are okay, speed feed is amazing, but their jerseys and pants are a bit too flashy. With that being said, their gear works. I don't think a couple of almost 30 year old guys are going to become abunch of crazy party boys just because they got a sponsorship.

I feel like the whole "agg" thing died down a little.
HK makes good ****. I feel like their products are quality (minus their speed feed rain lid) lol.

- No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
- Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
- If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
- Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
