Communism-----> Democracy

I know this really has nothing to do with paintball, but, I'm just wondering how you guys feel about being part of a democratic society now, compared to when most of you guys were kids living in a communist republic?

I think that's one of the reasons you guys are such a great paintball team, at such a very young team age. You guys have lived through tough times, alot tougher than what us American kids have lived through, and you guys know that the chance you got now doesn't come easy and that you don't take it for granted unlike many of us in the US do each and every day.

Also, is there still traces of Communism throughout Russia today, or is Russia now pretty much like the USA?

Communism is an economic model, not political. The opposite of communism is capitalism.

communism = everyone has the same amount of everything

i know what u mean about the tough life and all but....America does have poverty too and id imagine that it would be tough for them to afford all this ****. and either way if any paintball team became as popular as RL they would be greatful

if Communism is just an economic model it's funny how President Bush over here is trying to make a transition from Communism (economic) to Democracy (political)

lol.. I just realized that. How silly. Somewhat off topic but how does a leader come to power in Russia? (they never taught about russia in school)

I think its basicly the same way we do the people vote for who they think should be president? Or if u really wanna be a real democracy(like the us) u can vote on stupid issues like gay marrage and vote for a retarded president who u think keeps u safe

Вы парни являются удачливыми, что Вы не живете в коунртай, которым управляет жлоб

***end rant and off topic***

Can all of you imagine though, growing up that way? No privacy, no rights. Everything is controlled by the govt. I know here in the US most things are controlled by the govt, but we still get the right each day to go shop where we want without the three mile lines to get a loaf of bread. Plus we have the right to go pretty much anywhere we want.

Plus, they also had a war back in the early 90's right in there own towns and everything, cant say we've had anything like that here on America soil.

In the early days of the Soviet Union (Stalinist era) it was a totalatarian dictatorship. Formally they had a government like ours with a judicial, legislative, and executive branch. Ideally people in the different branches will have different ideas and goals so if one got out of control the other two would keep it in check. In the Soviet Union, all three branches were controlled by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The Party had a Council of Ministers to control the Union and the chief minister was the Prime Minister.

Canada gets quite warm in the summer, actually. And when someone in control of a world hegemony does something for his own personal gain, I think it concerns everyone not just Americans.
