Etek Vs Axe?
Thinking about getting a new gun here soon (Once I get the money). Debating between an Etek and an Axe. Which is more for my money?
NOTE: Not looking to buy a gun because I have 5 dollars to my name. Probably between the next few months

The Etek... Planet eclipse has been making guns much longer than empire and you can get better upgrades with the Etek.

I prefer the etek over the axe, but there are pros and cons to both. I suggest seeing if you can try each one out at your local field and then make your decision.

I would go with the axe smoother quieter , much quieter. Plus the axe just shoots really well. Other than that both planet eclipse and axe have great customer service although both are insanely durable so you shouldn't have trouble with that. I would suggest getting the axe used on here for 300 and investing in a feedneck and a ul.

Etek the only good thing about the axe is it has a better shot. The etek had better packaging, better stock barrel, IMO an easier to navigate board, easier maintenance, better chrono performance, better upgrades, an again IMO a better made gun. Etek all the way

Do research before you speak.
As for the OP. I have had experience with both, the axe is a lot more comfortable IMO. The etek feels small, and is very loud. The axe shoots super smooth out of the box and has a really quiet sound signature.
The tricky part about this is, it's all about your preference.

Haven't tried an Axe, but I love my ETek. The only real downside to the ETek is the stock barrel. Unless you're using massive paint, you'll want to invest in a barrel with more bore choices. I went with a Freak Jr on mine, and am gonna give it a go tomorrow.

Axe. Dunno why everyone had hard-ons for packaging. The Axe is more efficient, quieter, smoother, and consistent, if you tune her right.
I'm a fan of macro-less guns, so I chose the Axe.

I've owned both and sold my etek and kept my axe. The axe is MUCH quieter and efficient. Although I did like the feel of the etek better, I liked the axe better in every other regard.
