Plyometrics???Rocky...

I remember reading somewhere that the 'Dogs use Plyometrics as part of you're training and excercising. Do you guys still use the type of excercise? If so, can you give me any tips on what types of excercises you guys have been doing or have done? I'm only asking because i read that Plyometrics are sport specific and since i swear i read that you incorporate this method in your teams program i figured you'd be the guy to ask. I'd like to use this because i'd like to improve my game a little. I saw a video where this guy was doing plyometrics at a park. I take my kids to the park all the time except i just sit on my fat *** and watch them play. I've come to realize that i ain't getting any younger and what looked like excercise to me may look like playground fun to my kids so paintball won't be the only thing you'd be helping me out with. Get me back when you got time please. Thanks in advance.

No prob mang. Truthfully, all i know is its a form of excercise/cardio or something like that. And it is sport specific so you could do certain things that will help strengthen your muscles for the type of sport you play. I thought i saw somewhere that the 'Dogs use this type of excercise and if they did they could tell me what types of excercises they do to train specifically for paintball.

Sorry guys..... I have been swamped..

Plyometrics is a form of exercising that helps with explosive power......

We cycle our plyo training.

Its usually:

Box jumps (lat also)
Stair Jumps
Bounding
Shuttle drills
Foot work
High Skips
Ladder
ect......

Stuff like that. The only thing I would say is if your starting some kind of program, make sure you have some show you proper form because you can hurt yourself.

your body is comprised of two types of muscles. Fast twitch and slow twitch.

You are born with a certain count of each. THis cannot be changed, however, by doing plyos you can increase the efficiancy of the ones you doy have. So you might never move like carl lewis or reggie bush, but you can increase your reaction time, and overall speed, and explosiveness
