First of all no offence to any owner of the Rainmaker. However by todays standards there is no way on earth that a RM is a high End marker.

I dont see anyone saying that anywhere in this thread. Please stop trying to rile up people that visit these forums. A rainmaker is a decent-working marker if you treat it with respect and keep it in tip-top shape. I would love to own one (especially Chris's that he used with us at IAO) if i wasnt a poor college kid .

Yes i agree....a rainmaker is a DECENT working marker if you take care of it. And my respect goes out to anyone who rocks a BE and does well. However my point is that BE has and will never make a High End Marker. (possibly VL, JT ect.) Rainmakers cannot be compared with today's high ends. But in its day it was a fairly competitive marker tho no one used it.

ugh, sure they cant. My rainmaker has eyes, and shoots 15bps just like my other high end guns.

With the psp rules taking over, RMs can compete.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.

Yeah, the ref gave it to me after the finals when I was talking with them in the tent. I think it was used the entire 2nd day, actually. It's still slightly greasy to the touch...the paint never really dried. It's now behind UV filtering glass too, so the color should never fade. Definitely worth $50 for the custom frame and UV filtering/glare reduction glass.

It looks much better in person than the picture. I'll take a picture of it hanging up tomorrow.

It is still a High End marker. it uses a micro-controller to control a solenoid which alters the flow of air into the front and back of a ram cycling the marker.

Sadly, that alone isn't enough to qualify anything as a high-end gun these days. An Odyssey RPM, which can be bought for less than $180 brand new, fits that very same description, and would not be considered by anyone to be "high end."

Sadly, your right but that is why there are guys like us who play Paintball to spank those who think those kinda markers aren't high-end.

I wish I was younger in the sport, so that I actually knew what a force as you guys have proven that a rainmaker was. I will take something that has to move solenoids trip random objects and confused the feck out of anyone over an ram driven marker. Confusing + Efficent + Heritage = Win.
