what should I do??

Alright so I just bought a nerve about 3 weeks ago and love the gun very much...but at my local paintball shop a guy offerered me a base shocker thtat has hardly been used cheap and i mean cheap because he needs fast cash...... whould a shocker be a huge upgrade from my nerve or is performance still about the same between the two? If I dont buy the shocker I will have 700 dollars saved up..... But I am starting to get into hardcore paintball tourneys and want to know if i Should upgrade??
