Post WGP Select-Fire Electronic Trigger Frame FAQ

WGP Select-Fire Frame

Backround: The selectfire trigger frame is new updated version of the Worrframe that was launched for production in 2006/2007, but was first introduced on the 05 Superstock and Black Magic. It is basically the same trigger frame as the old Worrframe except with a different shape and the select fire capability. Selectfire means your are able to switch to different modes. The modes are:
  • Semi Automatic (Cap. 20+)
  • Full Automatic (Cap. 20+)
  • Ramping Mode (Cap. 15)
  • 3 Shot Burst (Cap. 20+)

Pros/Cons of purchasing a WGP Select-Fire Frame:

Pros:
  • Its speed capibilities (Mode's and "Cap's" listed above)
  • It's comfort, the frame has a nice firm comforting grip to it.
  • It's easy to understand operating system.
  • It's Multi-colored LED's
  • It's great milling design.

Cons:
  • It's price
  • The fact you have to take off the "Jumper" to change modes.
  • Low programmability
  • No Timer
  • No LCD screen

How it works:

Section A: The Eyes [OR] I.E.O

Your WGP Select-Fire Frame features Intelligent Eye Operation, I.E.O. It turns the eye "OFF" automatically if no paint in the breach is detected. The eye will remain in the "OFF" mode (allowing you to still fire) unless firing is stopped. When the continuous firing ceases, the eye will automatically restart to see if a paintball is present.

If during play your eye becomes dirty or stops working for some reason, your marker will automatically shut the eyes "OFF" and adjust the settings automatically so you will have less chance of "Ball Breakage".

Section B: The "Jumpers"

You will notice that your Select-Fire Frame only came with on black jump connector. Your E-Frame has four different modes as listed below.
  • Semi Automatic- No Jumper is in place. (Cap. 20+)
  • Full Automatic- Only the top jumper is in place. (Cap. 20+)
  • Ramping Mode- Only the middle jumper is in place. (Cap. 15)
  • 3 Shot Burst- Only the bottom jumper is in place. (Cap. 20+)

Section C: LED's

The flashing lights will indicate what mode you are in, and let you know whether the eye is "ON" or "OFF" and also if your in Demo mode.

There is a table frame the manual (Bottom of page) that will help you understand the LED's better.

Section D: Battery Levels

Your frame also features Intelligent Battery Monitioring. It has two features.

First: It will tell you your battery is low by blinking alternate Red/Yellow flashes.

Second: The marker will automatically power down after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Important Notes:

Note: Never Change a jumper when the battery is connected to the marker.

Answer: Adjust your trigger and try to shortening the trigger pull.

Question: What tirggers will work on my SF Frame?
Answer: Eblade triggers will work on the SF frame. That gets you the Raguba (sp?) trigger at around $65 (+S&H from europe), and a lot of discontinued triggers (samuri, FBM, A+ Anno, etc.)

Question: Marker double firing or not recording trigger pulls?
Answer: Your trigger might be pushed to the side of the frame, recorrect its position.

Answer: Your frame can hold the existing stock board and any of the eblade series type boards but it will have to milled for the LCD and Buttons. I would suggest getting your stock board "Flashed" by Predator.

Predator Flashing

Predator Flashing:
Getting your predator board flashed has many up sides to it, such as more up to date a popular firing modes. This package offers everything a higher quality eblade package does except the brand name and even at that Predator is one of the most common board companys in the buisness today!

To get your board flashed to the following:
  • Send an email to dee@predatorelectronics.com requesting an invoice for getting the Predator Flash done to a WGP Select-Fire Frame.
  • A lady that works there will tell you what to do from there.

She will have you pay for the Flashing online, then have you print out a invoice, from there you'll ship your board with the invoice to them, three days later you'll recieve your board. Thats basically it, pretty simple right!

----------------------
Here is a manual that you'll use after getting your new coding put on the board.

yes STICKY FTW.

Now, a quick question.....Does Tag Sportz (predator boards) flash the S/F board???? If so, then all hesitation is being thrown out the window and I'm odering an SS ASAP. If not, then can I drop a Zero B board in the frame??? What difference would that make, I've never had any experience of any sort with a Zero board. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

Yes Predator flashes the sf board.

Technecally yes it will drop it but it requires windows in the frame and holes for the buttons. So it isn't functional in it...

Either purchase the ss and flash it or buy a ss and get a e1 or e2 and then you can drop in the ZERO B.

You know, when I created my FAQ I didn't have the thought of it trying to get stickied so much as I did trying to create a FAQ that was informative/helpful/easy to understand/organized and lots more, for the common paintball player that just needs a little help with their marker. I guess thats why mine came out better. I'm sorry to sound like the bad guy, but me and you know the truth.

Well really it's just the SF board but you can have it flashed by predator.

Technically a EBLADE BOARD will fit but you would have to mill the back for the buttons ans LCD. I will add that.

no stunt intended. it seems redundant to have two faqs for the same thing, so just take what mine has and put it in yours. there's no bad guy, we're both aiming for the same thing.

You can replace your membrane pad but following these steps:

1. Go to ANSgear and purchase a new membrane pad.
2. Peel the old one off.
3. Install new one.

------------------------------

Plashing a board will give it new modes/capabilities/etc.
