Looking For Players in the Grand Junction area

The weather is finally taking a turn for the warmer and Team Feel the Paint will be out every weekend somewhere in the grand valley. If you are unfamiliar with our team, let me give you a brief description.

Team Feel the Paint, or FTP, is a Grand Junction based scenario team although we have recently branched out and have a faction in the Salt Lake City area. This year we are adding a speedball division that will hopefully see tourneys in SLC, Denver, and maybe Colorado Springs.

Feel the Paint is dedicated to honorable play. We believe that everyone should be allowed to play, regardless of age, gender, or skill level. We are also dedicated to the advancement of the game. New players are ALWAYS welcome and usually taken under one of our experienced players care for the day.

FTP travels to a miriad of big scenario games that range from games in Salt Lake City, to games in Mesquite Nevada, to Supergame in Oregon, and even all the way to Living Legends. Our members number about 35 now and we are always looking for dedicated players to add to our numbers. Right on for branching out! I almost went to school in GJ till I found out paintball is basically non existent out there lol.

It's picked up a lot in the years since FTP started out there.

Thanks man!! We do what it takes to keep ballin' here. We had one year that was a little sketchy, but with our captain at the helm, Mark "Tinnmann" Thomlinson, we keep on chuggin' along. Last year was a great year and this year will be epic with the induction of a speedball team. I can't wait!!

Lomarandil............now that's a name that I haven't heard since our SPPL days! How the heck are you man? What have you been up to lately? We are trying hard to stay competative and keep FTP's name out there in the scenario scene. Are you going to Battlefield Utah? This will be our third year as a General and command team. It would be great to have you join us on the "Bad Company" side if you can make it.

Doing well man, doing well. Not playing as much as I used to back in the carefree days -- got married, and sucked into taking on too many jobs in the meantime. But I'm hoping to make it to one of the DE games this year. Not sure which one yet. If I do, you know I'll be sure to look you guys up.

Ok, so I dropped the ball on this tread for last weekend. FTP was at The Rock on Sunday starting at 10:00. I will do my best to post up by at least Saturday afternoon when and where we will be playing on Sundays. Post up if you are interested and I will get you directions. Cheers!

Sunday March 18th we will be at our outlaw field on Hwy 141 just east of Whitewater, CO. Games will start roughly around 10:00 am. If you are unfamiliar with this location please post up and I will give you directions. We welcome any and all players reguardless of skill or age. We will have our air trailer there. Fills for non members is $3.00 for all day HPA, no CO2. TNT will have Valken Grafitti on site for sale at $45 a case or you can BYOP. See you there!!

Oh, yeah, we are practicing for the upcoming Battlefield Utah scenario game in the Salt Lake area on April 14th. This game is produced by the biggest scenario team in Utah and is very well put on by them. We encourage anyone in the Grand Valley area that would like to roll with us to this event to contact either myself or FTP's leadership. This event usually has 300 - 500 players and is a great scenario experience for players wanting to try a "Big Game" for the first time as well as seasoned players. There is something for everyone. We would love to support a few "first timers" this year at BU.

Unfortunately, the leadership of the team only wants to play low stress, big, fun scenario games. I will have to Merc if I want to play UWL. It is what it is...........

This week FTP will be drilling and practicing for Battlefield Utah on Saturday 31 March 12 at the Trenches on 21 Road starting at 9:00. TNT will have their air trailer on site for $3 all day air for non-FTP members and will also have cases of Valken Grafiti for $45. The weather will be gorgeous and 75 degrees, so come on out and get your game on! If you have any questions PM either myself or Tinnmann. Cheers!

Love Park City for snowboarding! To answer your question, yes we do have a contingent in SLC. They play mostly at the Retribution field in Bountiful and they do play speedball sometimes. They are a little new to our team and I don't think that they have played any tourneys wearing our colors yet, but I'm sure that they will. We are all going to meet up and play Battlefield Utah next weekend if you'd like to come out and join us and meet the FTP Utah faction. Go to www.battlefieldutah.com for more info. Our team captain is the general for "Bad Company" this year so that's the team that we will all be playing on. We will have a huge tent city set up there. You can't miss us. Looking for some local tourney players to help clean up and repair air bunkers that were given to us so that we can set up a three man field to play on. YESSSSSS!!!! We also need some place to set up this field on. Any suggestions or offers? Let me know.

Ya I'm actually one of the original 5 that started the team. I've played off and on for the past few years but never with a solid group. I've been wanting to get out now that the weather is warmer and shoot some paint. When I read you had an airball field my eyes lit up

Cool, then you know Brayden? Does he still have his air bunkers. Ours were given to us an need to be cleaned up before we use use them. We also still need to find a place to set up and play. It's very much a work in progress still, but it will happen. I have a really bad speedball jones! lol I'll keep you posted.

Braydon donated his field to a youth camp. He got rid of mostly everything and settled down with his wife and baby boy. I know he kept a couple guns and some of his gear. Where we used to setup the old air field he built a house. If you wouldn't mind the drive I can ask around here for a place to set it up.

I wouldn't mind driving up there to set up and play once or twice a month if you can find a place. My daughter lives in Montrose with her mom and I have to go that way on the weekends anyway. Sunday's would be best for me. Maybe you can get Braydon to come out and sling some paint. Andrew Jagger used to come down and play with us on the weekends, but kinda disappeared. You ever hear from him? Last I heard, someone stole his Ego, he got it back and then decided that he was going to sell it and take a break from paintball because of financial reasons.

Brayden is pretty much out of paintball. I haven't seen Jagger for a while but I hear he's still in town. Last I talked to him he was taking a break from PB. I think that was last summer. I'll let you know if I'm able to find a place to set up the field.
