I'm not sure what programmers will shut down each individual injector for a DMax. But in you're case it may be worth having the dealer run their scan tool on it and have them give you an indepth report. Does EFI Live get really into detail with parameters like that?

It sure does. That's what makes it so awesome. But that's the only one that can do it. The others are not that advance.

My local dealers are convinced they can't do that. I refuse to spend $100 on it.

Hey guys I've been a member here for quite some time, but I've been out of paintball for the last few years (mainly because I've been spending all my money on trucks ). I'm trying to get back into it, so I thought I'd stop by this thread.

I've got an 09 LMM Duramax 4x4. Pretty mild for now. Just the basic exhaust, EFI live, egr blocker, and gauges. Right now I have a front bumper replacement, cranked torsion bars and bigger tires, but I'm really thinking about lowering it down a little on some 20s and 305-50-20s (I recently got a drag racing bug ).

Here are a few pics:

If I go the street route, I want to build some traction bars and beef up my front end. I of course will need a transmission at some point, but that will have to wait until I get out of college.

Here's a dyno video, 430hp/720tq. It's a pretty conservative tune. Runs really clean and is trans safe.

Lift it. But I'll warn you right now, you will hate that transmission and the gearing.

I don't know the Dodge motors enough to know on that. I was just going off the title. But it makes sense now that you say that.

The downside of those motors are they're underpowered to their gas counter parts. They do get better mileage but low on towing. Not really receptive to tunes. Over heat and waked transmission.

The good is get a lb7 and Allison and have a hell of a truck. Or build the 700r4 in it and it will treat you well off road. Gearing is easy to fix and easy to build that transmission since its was GMs main tranny for ever.

It has a th400, 3 speed auto. Strong tranny, but horrible on the road. First gear is 2.48:1 ratio

Get a 4L80E.

My bad I guessed off the age the 700r4, and motor.

But the 4l80E is a very good one to go with. It holds up good in most trucks. Even more so in q blazer not meant to tow. My dad's truck has a 4l80e and its held up good

The cool thing is instead of a tuner you get a chip being an obd1. So you can say its chipped!

Does anyone have any experience with the Geolandar ATS? I'm debating either them or a Nitto Terra Grappler in 305/50/20.

That's a nice truck. I've always liked that body style and I've thought about picking one up myself.

Plasti-Dip'ed my stock rims and trim on the side. I think it looks really good - going to do my grill and logo on the front next weekend. I can't decide if I want to black out the lug covers or just take them off.
