Piranha Leaking

Alright, the problem with it is that the new cupseal/valve pin (it's all 1 piece) won't seal against the valve, for some unknown reason. I've checked the valve's sealing surface, it's fine, no scratches. When I put the gun back together, looking down in rear of it with no bolt in it, you can notice the valve pin looks twisted and not oriented right. I'm thinking ok, so, maybe some air and a couple cycles will fix that. Air on - it starts gushing everywhere it can go, freezing my balls off (i'm in boxers right now).

Gee, that didn't work. Next I put a piece of tubing on the end of the valve stem, just cause the entire stick (i'll refer to it as a stick because it looks like something I'd find laying in my yard) sucks and wanted to see if that would keep it from wobbling and let the damn thing seal. No, same results as above.

To prevent my balls being test subjects for Cryogenics, help me so I don't mess up again. Usually I can do this stuff pretty easily, but with a new stick and a non-damaged valve, I see no reason why the thing would *not* seal.

If possible, can someone please take pics of their entire valve assembly (stick/valve stem/cupseal, valve body, spring)

That would probably b e helpful...

Thanks,

And, just for clarification, the valve assembly is the same in all piranha markers, right?

It sounds like you may be missing the valve guide.
Its a "star" shaped metal disk that goes between the valve spring, and the cupseal itself.
Also...lubricating the face of the cupseal with a drop of oil helps it to seal against the valve.

As for a schematic...this one for the Pro-E is the clearest once magnified:

If you assembled the valve correctly try using some high grit sand paper and rough up the edge of the cupseal that contacts the valve. This lightly textured surface might seal better. Im not exactly sure where u said the gun was leaking out of, but this should help if you've got air coming out of the barrel.

If its leaking out of the air ram try blue locktight, avoid teflon tape if you can. Over time screwing and un screwing the ram cap with detoriate the tape and you'll cycle these pieces through the gun.
