Fisnish!!! Prints available on my website!!!
I am all done. it took me about 70 hours to complete.
If any of you talked to me at PSP I probably told you that I was considering doing a team drawing, and here it is. I decided to do Dynasty as my first team drawing. This drawing is going to be in liquidlead, just like my Thomas Taylor Drawing. I have gotten alot faster at liquidlead lead drawing, do to the fact that I teach classes on it, so hopefully this drawing will not take 176 hours like my Troll drawing. The Photography was taken from Andrew Wolfe, from nerdbox photography.
I am going to try to create a sense of depth in this drawing. I want to make it so that you can feel the positions of the players. The way that I will do that is with contrast and detail. The closest figure (Ryan) will have the most detail and contrast and I will lessen them with each succeeding player. I used a similar effect on my Nicky Cuba drawing in seperating the foreground figure from the back ground figure.
I am still working on the Ollie Lang Painting. I am doing these 2 at the same time.
anyway I know that most of you don't read anything I write even if I put it in red bold letters so I will be quiet and start showing the art! lol!
here is the reference
This is 5 hours into it. The size of the drawing board is 20" x 30"

Still have more work to do on the pants, podpack, and pods. I am going to move on to the next figure though.
here is a close up of it, this gives you an idea of the detail that goes into this

I am going to do everything that I can to seperate the 2 figures from each other, but I will wait until the end to do this so that I will be able to see all of the figures and adjust accordingly

I am really experimenting with this drawing, I am doing things with it that I have never done before. Like I said before, my goal is to give this drawing a sense of depth so that you can "feel" the positions of each individual players. I am doing alot of experimentation on this and I feel pretty optimistic about the outcome. I am going to try to get all of the players in there 60% stage and then I will adjust detail, atmospheric chaos, and contrast accordingly so that it gives it a sense of depth.
I am far from being done. I want this drawing to be my best one yet.

I am starting to think about my next drawing. This time I think that I am going to take the pictures myself. I don't think that it will be professionals unless they come to my local field. I figure that I can only go so far working from other peoples photographs, I want to get my own and create my own scenes.
I started a thread in Pb talk where you can give me sugestions on what you would like as a pball drawing. here is the link

Let me know what you guys would like to see in a pball drawing.

I am getting close to being done. I probably would of been done by now but, Call of Duty 4 owns my soul. lol. I will be done by the beggining of next week. I figure I got another 15 hours into it. I will be taking pre-orders before it is scanned, and it will be cheaper to buy a print then. I am hoping to have it scanned either the end of next week or the beggining of the week after that.
I haven't decided on a background yet, I am still thinking about that.
59 hours.
This is the last update. The players are about 95% done. This is the time that I will start tweaking everything so that the drawing looks 3d. I also need to add in te background. the next time that I post in this thread the drawing will be finished. I am hoping that that will be around monday or tuesday.
