Alright well I got a question for you in your opinion should I save up a little bit more and get the GT or get a Geo 2.1 I could buy a Geo 2.1 right now but right when I saw the GT I was like I must have it. Which one would you pick

I've never shot a 2.1 but I have shot a 2...but technically there is nothing different between the 2 that will affect shooting performance.

I personally like how the Clone shoots better than the Geo, which is why I purchased one instead of dumping money on a Geo. Clones are also much more efficient than Geo's (which is the largest gripe you will hear about them). Most people in this forum will say the same thing regarding which way you should go as there are a lot of die-hard MacDev users in here.

Most people who shoot a Clone for the first time seem to get hooked and have the "where has this been my whole life" mentality.

Ultimately it's up to you, but you will not be disappointed with the performance of MacDev guns.

There is a video in my original posts.

First impressions after shooting today overall were really good. It took about a half case to break the gun in...or the regulator more specifically. I chrono'd the gun and if it sat for a minute the first handful of shots would be really slow and then work their way up to where I chrono'd it.

I figured the reg just needed a little break in. After shooting about a half case it seemed to be properly broken in and there were zero problems the rest of the day and it shot perfectly.

I can't wait to get some more paint through this gun to get it even more consistent and efficient.

I can't really say how efficient it was out of the box as I was at practice and just filled after each session. It seemed about on point with my VX when I first shot that out of the box.

Long story short, I am very pleased with my purchase and do not anticipate any issues with this platform. It is just an enhanced version of the VX drive, which has proven itself plenty reliable.

Awesome efficiency numbers for straight out of the box!

That's good that you noticed the same thing with the reg break in. It just means it's begging to be shot

Mine are at 800, I changed one to 550 to see if it makes a difference and will check it this week.
And the shot count isn't a guess.

Those side by side pictures are crazy to look at. VERY little size difference considering the GT is gas thru!

So nice and so smooth, this gun really will be a force! My mind churns and the thought of macdev trying to one-up themselves on this one!

I have no idea why this post was moved to the Versus forum...this was a post to discuss the new features that the GT had compared to MacDev's prior model. This is not a versus thread in the traditional sense.

I'm not sure anyone's actually tried this yet. It "looks" like it will fit from the naked eye. I'm sure someone will try it at some point, but I don't want to be the guinea pig in case the tolerances are slightly different and damage could possibly occur.

If I can get my hands on a red bolt I will gladly be the test subject. I emailed macdev about getting one and haven't gotten a response as of yet.
