I love those can rings. Most breweries around here give you a deposit for 'em when you bring em back. Plus I keep a few on hand so I can make a variety 6 or 4 pack of stuff I've got on hand, when I go to a friends house.

They have that fancy Alaskan Cherry Vanilla Baltic Porter at my local packie, worth picking up or not?
Also, Maui Brewing Company Big Swell IPA is naisssss. Good balance of tropical fruit right in the middle of the palate, makes the bitterness quite refreshing.

I thought it was pretty tasty stuff. it's like drinking a chocolate covered cherry though but it isn't cloyingly sweet.
drank Petrus Aged Pale tonight which was a tasty sour beer.

I had Unibroue's Terrible last night, which was not terrible at all. They ferment it with lees, which culminates in a subtle hint of wine on the finish.

I love Unibroue
Picked up a 22 of Ska Brewing Local Series Hoperation Ivy #22 wet hop ipa, probably gonna try that one tonight, pretty excited for it.
What I'm really excited for, is the bomber of Crabtree Brewing Company Stephanies Oatmeal Raisin Stout which was aged in Stranahans whiskey barrels. Going to be luscious.

"Ale on Lees" just means the beer is bottle conditioned, nothing more.
but yes it is a good *** beer. not sure what to drink tonight. have a bottle of rodenbach grand cru and boulevard saison brett in the fridge that i might crack into. kinda want to go to the store and see what i can find though, since the store i tried to visit the other day was closed.

Hoperation Ivy was pretty good, could definitely tell that it was wet hopped but it was a real nice bitterness. Bout to bust into this whiskey barrel aged oatmeal raisin stout, excited for where this is headed.

drank some blue hills IPA ( ) then some homebrewed IPA. blue hills failed with their hops combinations and ratios. all bitter and grassy with no real flavor or aroma to speak of.

I went down to one of the local breweries last night and had their Octoberfest, and a rye saison that was really good. Going back tonight because they just tapped an imperial stout.

Brewing up a batch of Cascadian Dark Ale tonight. Picked up a 4 pack of Mountain Standard for some inspiration.

Drank Great Divide 18th Anniversary followed by a Chipotle Smoked Porter by Stone and finished off the night with a Chicory Stout from dogfish head. 44 oz of beer and one was 10% so I pretty much drank a six pack worth of beer tonight in terms of alcohol. I think I need to cut back for the sake of my liver. Heading to Russian River to snag some Framboise for a Cure and bringing along a smurf to pick up some extra bottles in the morning.
I'm a bottle over for 12 oz bottles and 10 bottles over for 22s and 750s. Maybe I'll be neutral by the end of November...

Mikkeller/Cigar City Brewing Swinging Harry Tropical Quad is the ****ing bees knees. The papaya and mango really round out the flavor and make it ridiculously drinkable for 11.4 abv, could barely tell this one packed a wallop till it actually settled in and it was too late haha.
I know you enjoy belgians Zero, they still have a few of these as well as a few other interesting brews at my local store if you're interested in setting up a beer trade. Could use some east coast flair in my drinking again.

Yeeeeeee it's GABF week! So many fancy pants tappings and beer dinners and discussions, I have no idea what to do with myself. Going to this one tonight called Beers Made by Walking. Basically 10+ CO breweries were taken on nature hikes with an art professor at a local college to identify edible and medicinal herbs to use in brewing. All of them are available tonight, should be interesting. Figured I'd swing by Falling Rock too, see what special kegs they've been keeping secret.

Let's get something rolling here. I have no current trades going and am pretty much good to go financially now that my move is mostly finished. Anything in particular that you're missing from out this way?

Hmm, I know I want some Larry, a Fogbuster (yeah I'm requesting some paper city, deal with it)... I'm trying to think of the other standby's I had out there that I don't have access to here. Most of the DFH 750's go real quick out here, so really anything from them would be nice. OH, some Flower Power would be quite exquisite as well.
