But it sounds like you have an oring not fitting correctly in the drive causing you to raise the pressure above 100-110 to get 285fps. Can you test the reg pressure to see where you are at when shooting 285? This will make the sound a lot louder if running a higher pressure.

Sending the gun in isn't an option. If i can find someone with a reg tester I will do that at some point...
I do appreciate you trying to help but I have a feeling this is going to end with me being dissatisfied with my purchase as this bolt has been a total let down and not lived up to the hype what so ever.
Also, from my other thread about the same issue... Let me know if you have any ideas.

In all cases the stock bolt was smoother. going through the bolt keg produced significantly more friction on the gold bolt then stock, through the process of elimination I was able to determine it was the 016 oring on the bolt (bolt switch?) causing the problem. I tried a few different o-rings and the same problem happened every time. by visually inspecting the bolts side by side (and looking inside with a flashlight) the only noticeable difference I can find is that the gold bolt has a different anno and that the bolt switch oring seems to stick out of the grooves on the gold bolt vs. the stock it does not...
Any suggestions before I conclude that the gold bolt was nothing more then a frustrating waste of time and money?
