It sounds like you may have a non fitting oring within the drive. If you would like to send the marker in for us to inspect it and see if the bolt or something else is causing the issue your more than welcome too. But it sounds like you have an oring not fitting correctly in the drive causing you to raise the pressure above 100-110 to get 285fps. Can you test the reg pressure to see where you are at when shooting 285? This will make the sound a lot louder if running a higher pressure.

got a very nice condition droid setup and just went over it.
everything could pass as new, works fine, etc. but i noticed the powertube is possibly bent or something. i noticed sliding it that i'd sometimes get a metal-on-metal noise of the powertube coming in contact with the bolt. i also have a barrel leak. i've tried many different powertube orings and they all leak. i found one that doesn't leak much but it's there.
i took the drivetrain apart and slid the powertube into the bolt and noticed on the rear, one side has a gap around the hole and the exact opposite side just about to come in contact with the inside of the bolt. this shows that something isn't right. checked it on both gold bolt and 2 stock bolts and showed the same thing.

i'm looking to get a replacement asap.

Sending the gun in isn't an option. If i can find someone with a reg tester I will do that at some point...

I do appreciate you trying to help but I have a feeling this is going to end with me being dissatisfied with my purchase as this bolt has been a total let down and not lived up to the hype what so ever.

Also, from my other thread about the same issue... Let me know if you have any ideas.

If you think it is specifically the 016 O-Ring on the bolt.....have to taken the worked in 016 O-Ring from your old drive and switched it over to the Gold Bolt to try?

Full function has all firing modes, semi only is just that, Semi mode.
Some countrys only allow semi fire mode.

Got a problem with an old and trusty droid. Gold bolt, stock board, stock settings (12 dwell), hpr adjust to chrono.

Poor efficiency is the name, about 5 pods and a hopper from a 68/4500.

Replaced all drive train o-rings at least twice, with no audible leaking when aired up. The gold bolt has some very visible wear on fwd 1/3 on a portion.

Had a droid when they just came out, and shot far more efficiency than this marker. I picked this one up used after several years being out of game (mil). Other than effiency, shoots great.

Will there be any techs at Huntington Beach? I unfortunately dont have time to mess with this issue until then, but am curious what the nation (i.e. better techs than I) have to say about my issue.
