The default settings will do you solid, but you can tweak them to be perfect for your use. Such as changing the bit rate to high, adjusting the AWB, sharpness, etc.

Enjoy!
Thanks for the tip!

Yes, I have to do more research. First, I want to get the basics down, like how to mount, use and maintain the R7. Then I'll get into the more advance things.

R7 works perfect with nano feedneck

Well, if you have the nano you don't need to replace it or buy anything extra.

Using the R7 mount with the nano:

1) Loosen the vertical height adjustment screw and position the bracket at its highest position.

Default position

Highest position

2) Remove the nano lock collar.

3) Use one of the dust boots provided. Slip it on all the way down.

4) Place the R7 mount over the nano. Push it down until it bottoms out on the vertical height adjustment block. It won't go completely over the nano but almost. The dust boot is BELOW the R7 mount collar not inside - it will just keep dust/paint out of the nano slots.

Fits perfectly and without adding any height to your setup!

Now to play around with it and see if 720p/60fps is better than 1080p/30fps for paintball.

Looks great, man!

You wouldn't happen to have a Z2 to take a pic with?

Thanks anyway, reason why I ask is because it looks like a Z2 would be just a little too low for that setup. Is it possible to mount the bracket upside down on the same set of holes it is in your photos so that the camera is basically resting on the barrel?

You could but, in my case at least, I may have to raise the mounting point. So, that might mean raising the setup because I'm not sure how the mount would work if it rests at the intersection of the Rotor and the nano.

Might be different with your Z2 though.

The bracket and actual camera sliding mount point are two pieces. So if you wanted you could flip the mount and then re-attach the actual R7 branded arm right side up. Just remove the screw for the arm, take the pieces off, flip the main ring, re-attach. If you look at the pic of my Infamous Axe on page one I flipped it due to the more permanent way I mounted it being lower.

Although keep in mind the mic port location. If you give it no room your marker will be crystal clear but you'll lose outside noise like if you're talking, yelling, communicating, etc.

I think if he did it this way (rather than flipping the whole mount) he just might be able to fit the Z2 without raising his overall height. Good tip!
