Gangstar V2 manual

There have been some questions on the Gangstar V2 chip on how to program it and some of the modes it has. So to help, Ive decided to post on up.
Enjoy.

Programming
1-Hold down the programming(black) button.
2-Turn the loader on
3-The LED will go orange until button is released
4-LED will then go blank then RED, your first programming mode.

A-To cycle through the menus tap the programming button.
B-To change a setting hold the button down until the LED starts to flash.
C-Release the button once your desired number of flashes(values) go by.
D-To view your current setting in a menu hold the programming button down for one second.

These are the modes and the values therein.

Red-Force mode (1-6)
1-NPPL/Zero Foce (No force on the paint stack
2-Regressive Tension (Tension drops over time eventually to no force)
3-Regressive Tension 2 (Ditto, Tension never drops below 1)
4-Ramping (Uses eyes to speed up and slow down loading speed to your ROF.)
5-Reball (Drive cone spins forward and back to prevent jams)
6-PSP (Feeds in a 3 shot burst when there is movement in the stack uses no tension)

Orange-Speed (1-10)
1-Slowest
|
10-Fastest

Green-Tension (1-20)
1-Lowest
|
20-Highest

Red/Green-Breakout Mode (1-6)
1-Off
2-3 shot delay
3-6 shot delay
4-9 shot delay
5-12 shot delay
6-15 shot delay
*Note* Hopper feeds at the highest speed setting for 30 seconds. LED flashes Orange/green when this mode is enabled.

Orange/Red-Anti Jam (1-6)
1-Off
2-1 second delay
3-2 second delay
4-3 second delay
5-4 second delay
6-5 second delay

Orange/Green-Energy Saver mode (1-2)
1-Off
2-On
*Note*When battery life is 25% or less the loader changes its force mode to NPPL/Zero Force mode to maxmize battery life. Loader changes to previous force setting once the loader is turned off.

Low Battery Indicator
When battery life drops below 25% the LED turns Red during normal operation.

Gangstar Spin
Tap the button for manual anti-jam. Push then hold the button down to manually spin the drive cone forward despite the status of the eyes.

does it unjam automatically? also, on the ramping mode where it says that it uses the eyes to speed up and slow down speeds, what exactly does that mean? do you set the top speed then it thinks your gun is on ramping mode so it starts at a lower speed setting and ramps up to the preset hopper speed depending on how fast your gun is firing?

If you turn anti-jam on, yes.
Nope, What it does is it uses the 4 eye system. When the eyes start to notice feed gaps it speeds up to achieve a higher ROF then lowers itself to maintain the feed rate.

i wonder what the energy save mode does.
Also, how does it handle tension in the "adaptive"(ramping) setting, because the explanation talks about feedspeed, not tension.
i have the v1 and i use it in no-force with no problems whatsoever(longer batt life), i never noticed "empty" stack nor the loader not keeping up(at least in semi)

Maybe I'm stupid but.. when ever I hold down the button on anti-jam, it just switches to the next setting? I never see it blink to tell me its changing settings.

Ok.. even trying to change force mode (red).. I'll hold it down while its on red, but it changes to orange and then starts blinking for me to change the setting.

hold the button down long enough so that the color actually disappears

then push it the desired amount of times and wait for the light to come back on.

I believe its different for the V2 though.. you hold it down and continue to hold it until you get the desired # of blinks and thats where it messes up. It switches to the next color instead of the current one cycling through the settings.

Energy save mode reverts the hopper to zero force mode when theres 25% of the battery left so not to waste all the remaining juice in your loader. In the ramping mode as far as I am concerned max tension is always placed on the ball stack. This mode is strictly for high ROF's.

What sometimes happens is you will get your number of blinks in a setting and then the chip will automatically move you to the next setting saving your last setting.
