if memory serves me correctly, 11 inches of regular electrical tape seemed to be the best amount. at least for me, anyway.

Looking at the guide, bronc says to tape a few rolls at the bottom of the chamber then go 2/3 up. Does that really matter? I used black tape, about 10.5 inches total, and just wrapped it tightly amongst itself at the bottom of the chamber in a single coil. I was chronoing 285-290 before and after the tape I was shooting about 287-288.

Sounds good. The goal is too add until you notice a change in velocity. And those numbers look pretty consistant.

And it doesnt matter where the tape actually is. Bronc was using a different type of tape, not standard electrical tape.
