one can assume that although it would take some legwork in the beginning it wouldnt be too difficult for companies like dye, eclipse, etc... to essentially make the exact guns they are manafacturing now, only smaller, correct?

Yes, but I doubt this idea will fly until .50 becomes established more. Until then I think we can only hope to see new drivetrains/bolt assemblies for the markers we know and love.

My guess is they could, conceivably make them the exact same external size they are now, just with smaller internals, or the upper section could be "shrunk" for lightening purposes. I wouldn't think grip frames will shrink much, though.
