does the model 98 need a high pressure reg to operate?

I have a guerilla air 68/4500 with the myth gen 2 regulator on it putting out 550 psi. Last time I just it was with co2 and it was shooting at a much higher velocity at about 280... but when I put on the air tank it lost a lot of velocity maybe shooting in the low 100s or mid 100s.

You need higher pressure from your tank.

I know the a5 needs high pressure to operate never thought the 98 would need it too. Just cause the a5 has that cyclone feed system and it needs to fill a larger area.

High pressure for the 98. Cyclone feed uses a little more air perhaps, but that's not why the A5 needs high pressure. It was just designed to use it.

Yeah tippmanns need a high pressure tank around 800psi give or take a 100 depending on some regs.. While your tank is low/medium slap any other tank on therexand your velocity will go back up.

Cyclone operates off excess blowback air, not the tank.

All Tippys need HPA unless you use a Low Pressure Kit or have an X7 Phenom/ Crossover.

Most of the Tippmann markers require high pressure of 700 PSI to 850 PSI to work properly. The Phenom and Crossover are the only ones that don't require modification.
