Good starter gun for my daughter (under 10 yrs old)

I'm looking for advice.... My daughters love coming with me to splatter some balls when me and my buddies hit the speedball field, and they love shooting my etek 3 am but IM ABSOLUTELY NOT GETTING INTO THAT TYPE OF MONEY FOR A BEGINNER GUN!! So what would you other parents recommend? Look forward to your input!

Depends on your price range... obviously you want a gun that is as light as the etek.. I'd say a mini as well, but if you have to go cheaper, get her a basic starter gun like the Tippmann Gryphon. They're hella light, and for a starter package it's like 100 bucks.

mini
rail
2011 aura. there only 1.6 lbs
mini's and rail's used get as low as 170, and probably 220 highest.
the aura is really new, i think there's 1 guy on here that has one. they cost $350 new, and look like a luxe. they are spools though, so you might have to teach them to maintain them.

My daughter is also just starting to come out with me and she is 11. She really likes the Spyder sonix because it is extremely light and very easy to change orings on it and it only costed me $50 bucks for a used one in excellent condition or new they go for about 100. A very good choice for a first gun. if I find another one for 50 bucks . I will buy another for her back up.

This is your answer, if she likes pink you can pick her up a nice pink body kit for around 15 bucks off ebay.

a very light e-spyder all the way.. ease of maintenance and soft on your wallet especially if you get one used. They are not even 10 yet dont go buying anything more than that IMO.

ion is good too just keep in mind the maintenance is up there and its probably not something the kids can do on their own. e-spyders have delrin bolts with eyes that require no lubrication apart from the hammer o-ring. super low maintenance and very easy to pull out

I concur, it hits the price range you want plus with Tippman the maintenance will be low and she'll still be using it years from now. I have a tippman (but not a gryphon) and its fully functional 7 yrs after I bought it.
