Question Worth it to sell vice?

Hy guys. I have a vice with a lp poppit. I was wondering if it is really worth it to sell the gun to get a spool gun. They are way quiet. I play recreationally (bushball).
I was looking at the DM's or the NT's. any input?
Like if I sell my gun for 350 I can pay an extra 200 and get a solid gun

The Vice is a solid gun and is underrated IMO. I would keep it especially if you play woodsball. You will get more shots out of a Vice than any spoolie you can buy on the market right now. I get 8 pods and a hopper off my 45/4500 and it is very smooth and quiet. I'm not really a fan of NT's, and DM's can leak if you are not familiar with them. Try and get a DM or NT to play with for the day, and see if you prefer it to your Vice before buying.

The Vice is quiet enough. And air efficient. Not worth to get rid of it for an nt

I just compare my vice to my buddies invert mini and how quiet his shot is compared to mine. His is like a whisper where mine is like a clang sound

Empire runs at a lower pressure than the vice, especially with an infamous/xsv bolt. But if you were to get rid of your vice then I would recommend an axe instead, it's quiet and still efficient because it is a poppit

i dont really like the style of the axe. to me it feels too much like a toy....sorry
the dm's are gorgeous guns in my opinion.
what the down side of selling my vice to get a dm?
also i dont mind having to lube it a bit more or change an o-ring here and there

I have a dm13. The lpr can be tuned to perfection. Defiantly better choice. And you shouldn't have to worry about how many pods you get in woodsball. I use 4 pods on 68/4500 and still have enough air for 1 game

where i play woods ball we play one game at a time..... so it gives us time to refill air which is not a big deal.
i have 4 pods on my back while a play so its not like i am worried about getting 10 or 9 pods out of it.
i was just thinking if i can get a nice dm 10-11 for a good price shall i do it

Maybe your Vice isn't tuned as quiet as it can be if it has a clanging sound. Sounds like your LPR may be turned up a tad bit on the high side. I have an LP poppit also, and it is very quiet with my UL barrel. Just as quiet as any Axe I've shot. Your money, so you can get what ever you want. Good luck with whatever you do.

Looks are one thing, but dms just dont really stand up to most modern guns, dms are milled beautifuly, but they are larger, bulkier, heavier and less efficent than most spools. You should look into other guns, my personal recomendation would be a macdev clone (the 2010 v2s are going for under 500) or a pe geo 1 or 2.

As stated earlier, try before you buy. Using a gun in game is worth more than all the research in the world.

Then get a dm7. Shoots so smooth. But like any gun, you have to tune it!

It can be a benefit to have a quiet gun in woodsball, not a huge one, but a benefit nonetheless. If you shoot a ton in the woods, it won't make that big of a difference.

But if you're like me, a player who shoots sparingly and only "opens up" when mass casualties are the likely outcome ( ), a quiet gun can be put to devastating effect.

I get "complaints" all the time from people that they never knew what was coming. I've shot 10-15 round bursts at people from far away and they remained oblivious to the incoming paint/shots until it was far too late (try that with an Ego, lol). But my MQ'd Cocker is even quieter than a DM, so...

Asking for an unbiased decision when comparing two high end guns is almost impossible. Once you get into the upper price ranges the guns perform quite similar to each other in terms of consistency so the differences are things that are more personal preference than anything else.

That being said for a poppit vices are pretty quiet. Having a heavily ported barrel can help reduce the sound signature and it's a lot cheaper to drop $50-$100 on a barrel than it would be to drop $1000 on a Clone/DM13/Victory Vcom/insert other spool valve here.

It sounds like you REALLY want a DM because you keep mentioning it, despite all the good advice people are giving you.

So you know what? Go get the DM. Just go get it.
