Anyone notice this on the spire?

Just saw this today and wasn't sure if anyone else saw it. Check out of the little white plug right by the gyro place sensor. I guess it's for a future upgrade. Maybe a rf chip?

I just popped my battery pack out and it actually just seems like they used the connector to hold the pins in place since those pins are actually soldered right to the sensor. Most likely it's there just as protection against short circuiting like they do with the Afterglow controllers for the Xbox/PS3.
