Over $53,000 in Cash Prizes for the Season!

The Pev's Tournament Series (PTS) is back for the 2010 Season. This year the PTS brings us under the direction of Will Allen, former member of Team Justice. In addition to a new tournament director, the PTS will feature a whole new format and structure to ensure the most competitive environment for all players, and offer over $50,000 in Cash Prizes for the season. Teams will play on the same amazing Turf fields used for the NPPL (USPL) DC Challenge.

Turf Arenas (No mud or rocks).
Spectator Friendly with Netting around entire field.
Air Fill Stations "at" entrance to Arenas.
Mulch Staging Areas.
Hot Quality Food On-Site. We have a Restaurant Permit.
Climate Controlled Flushable Restrooms.
WiFi (Free to Players)
Close Parking

Don't take our word for it, here's what a few Pro Captains have to say about Pev's.

"This was one of the best events that I have ever been to. The field at Pev's was as good as it gets."-Rich Telford, Sacramento XSV

"The D.C Open presented by the NPPL and Pev's Paintball was by far the best run paintball tournament I have ever attended in my 15 years of play Professional Paintball. The venue was superb and the playing turf was pristine".
-Frank Connell,St. Louis Avalanche

"To sum up my time spent at the DC Challenge at Pev's, I have only one thing to say: First-class paintball experience. With one the most well maintained and manicured paintball fields I have ever seen."
-Bart Yachimec, Edmonton Impact

"I must say that the venue Pev's put on for DC Challenge was one of the best I have been to. It was an honor for my team to play at your field. The venue was very well run and a class act. Other fields across the country should take the Steps that you took to make Pevs what it is. Paintball would do so much better if they had fields like Pevs."
-Rob Montiero, San Francisco Explicit

"The fields were pristine. Indianapolis Mutiny and myself are looking forward to many more practices and 7 man NPPL tournaments at Pev's Paintball in 2010."
-Tommy O'Donnell, Indianapolis Mutiny

I was VERY proud to be a part of this event!!! It was truly the best 3-man event I've ever seen. I was pleasantly surprised with the HUGE cash prize. It's really cool that the prize will be bigger when we have more teams involved!!! Great job to all the teams that competed and to my guys for the great reffing and to Will, Farhan and Pev's for putting on a GREAT event!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed the music too

I agree! This was a very well run event. I loved the whole experience of it! The only feedback I have was the only negative thing that I experienced in that I was being checked for a hit and the ref couldn't find the hit but was holding my gun so I couldn't shoot. It was like we were a body down and then I got run up on while I was being checked.

Other than that, I do have to say that this was a superbly run event!!

Great event! Only suggestion would be to speed the games up a little bit. Good reffing, there were like 12 refs on the field, lol.

was a great event. only suggestion would to speed the games up a little bit and make sure teams switch up sides in prelims instead of letting the first team there choose which side they get to play on. overall very well done cant wait for the next one.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys I am wondering what you mean by "speed the games up" because, unless there was a situation on the field in which the refs were checking a gun o discussing a call, there was only a minute or less between games. I know that's true because that's how much of a song got played in between games A minute or less of down time between games isn't too shabby.

Will and I did talk about making some format changes to make things a little more efficently. We are going to have everything polished up for the next event.

Thanks,
Chris

Awesome job. Reffing was too good. The field was perfect. All around, great day. Next time, more paint if we're playing 18 games. Keep it coming Pevs.

I think what they mean is there was far to much down time in between games for most teams. I know we were just going down the list, but that caused some teams to get about 15 games off before they played again.

Also while clean fields are appreciated stopping for 3-4 minutes in between every game was too much. Every team should have been ready to just step on the field as soon as the flag pull was cleared good.

Other than that it was a great event and Navy hopes to return for the next one.

-TJ

PS: We made it back with one minute to spare...

Due to there being an uneven # of teams, the way the schedule was done, each time got a bye. I didn't list the byes on the schedule, but when a team had a long gap between games, it was usually because that's where your bye fell in. I also realize that the open class had longer waits between games than the beginner class, but that's due to there being more teams registered in the beginner class. There was no way for that to be avoided. As the PTS continues to grow and hopefully more teams register, we will end up using multiple fields so that we won't have to mix the divisions on 1 field which should eliminate that wait time.

Also while clean fields are appreciated stopping for 3-4 minutes in between every game was too much. Every team should have been ready to just step on the field as soon as the flag pull was cleared good.

I noticed that as well. As the day went on, teams were dragging and not getting on the field fast enough. Still trying to think up a way to avoid this for the future.

Other than that it was a great event and Navy hopes to return for the next one.

-TJ

Both. $1500 per event and $3000 for the season for 3 man and $3000 for event and $5000 for the season for 5 man. You can look through the initial post for the exact numbers, but I believe that's what it is.
