Energy drink

IS it good to drink an energy drink before a day of rec ball. Or just water.

Just stick with water. I drank 2 gallons on Sunday (109F) and didnt use the restroom one time. If I drank an energy drink before or during I would be dead for sure.

i drink soda, redbull, water, gatorade, and ice tea when i play. i drink a can of soda b4 i get there. when i get there, i drink water, then while i play i drink gatorade. when i go take a little rest and watch dvds for lik 15mins, thats when i drink redbull, and when i drink all of my drinks, which is usually near my last 2 games, i drink ice tea. =)

Water and Gatorade are your best bet. If your drinking and not pissing, your dehydrated, so drink more. You will feel better and perform better on the field.

soda will eventually dehydrate you faster than water or gatorade.
i usually just drink water especially when i play indoor and it gets pretty hot

Gatorade FTW.

When you sweat you lose the sodium in your body, and Gatorade has electrolytes which replace that. Water is good, but gatorade/powerade is always better. Mix it up.

Sodas, tea, redbull all dehydrate you faster. Its never good to exercise after sugary **** like that.

Actually, nothing is better than water. Nothing but minerals and electrolytes. Gatorade has more electrolytes in it but it also has sugar. Sugar isnt good for your health and will eventually slow you down if you have too much. I would drink alot of water before i get there and then between games drink gatorade. Then when ur done, drink some more water.

Caffeine will constrict your blood vessels and the sugar will give you a nice short burst of energy, but will fade quickly and then you will be really sluggish. Caffeine free diet would be okay if you HAD to drink soda, but water and Gatorade are your best choices. If you like tea or punch like drinks, try Crystal Light. It is a diet drink mix that is basicly water flavoring that has no sugar, caffeine or calories. That is what I drink at home instead of soda or real tea.

One of the greatest benefits of Gatoraid is the fact that its flavored, meaning you drink more of it. Water is bland and quenches thirst quicker because it dilutes certain chemicals in your body quicker.

I personaly mix gatoraid with water and drink that, about a gallon or more of it during a day of paintball.

Soda or energy drinks are just about the worst thing you could drink, have a bannana or something (the substances in these drinks slow the absortion of water into your body).
