Instead it will be hitting the hand/wrist. Why not just plug the back then drill into the side so it vents away from you. Not my guide, I'm just wondering

I have a snatch grip on the gun and I'm gonna grind a little groove in it right below the exhaust hole so the air vents out the sides of the gun, not on my hand. Got the idea from the snatch grip on my nasty nxt. Look at a side pic of one and you will see what I'm talking about I think in talking about the snatch grip.

I'll bet you could get a lot more volume out of this kind of guide since you could drill all the way to the front oring.

You would have to plug the tip though. Otherwise air would be able to vent past the front guide o-ring. You could drill all the way to the tip from the back and then cut out a section in between the 12 o-ring glands though.

If you drill through the tip thogh it makes for a nice easy ARB mod like me and inmylife have both done recently.

I am prolly gonna do an arb on mine too. Haven't made up my mind yet. I've done a couple of guides before but the last one didn't turn out so well. The front part of the guide where the front 12 o-ring gland is broke off the guide. As for my low pressure mod I had to go with a 5/16 grub down in the guide shaft and a 3/8 grub in the back (because of the problem with the tap not reaching down in the shaft cuz it is a 9mm guide). Other than that it seems like its gonna turn out pretty good.

Don't most bolts seal off that area the same time that they release are to the ball?

Am I missing something? Because I don't see how that air leaves the bolt guide until the bolt retracts, when it then escapes to begin refilling the can.

The same problem exists with the Evolve bolt, and the Stinger bolt I have in front of me.

speedy now that you bring that up it has me thinking to. maybe it only works with eigen and other bolts that dont seal? lets just wait for a guru to chime in.
edit: my bad didnt see that was the stock bolt. looks to me like its perfectly logical with the HE
but still waiting for a guru.

^any bolt with the longer ports, not the tiny circles

The NDZ bolt I have in front of me has longer ports but doesn't look like it would allow airflow from the guide when in the forward position either. There may be several bolts that do work with this, but I don't know what they are, which was my original question. Clearly "All" is not correct.

All bolts work with the lp guide, some bolt systems will just be effected differently. Regardless of porting the bolt assembly has the same amount of volume and will fill with the same amount of air. The difference is the volume they actually shoot from.
