hey is the brass clip that hooks around the fireing chamber nessasery to attach or can I just leave it off?

you should attach it. you can find the tools for that clamp at an auto store.

okay I put the clip onto the donut only to have my hoses explode

did you use a snap ring removal tool? did you put it on correctly?

yea i got 2 needle nose plyers and pulled the ring around the clip where it's suppost to go.

you can take it off and replace it with a 015 oring (tank oring). I did this with all of mine (when I had 12 Ions).

I'll give that I try, I had to order some RPM ion/epiphany/EOS/Sp8 hoses from smartpartsparts.com

Cuz my ion and epiphany both had hoses explode in the same week!?!?
