Paintball in CT

I'll be at the Groton Navy Sub base for 8 months going to tech school and want to know where in CT I can play? Is there much of a PSP scene? Thanks,

We have several different and great fields to choose from.

Our speedball field will be back up the 20th and our spools "Shi No Numa" and woods field are doing great and everyone is having a blast.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I still have some time, I leave for bootcamp 4/26 and it is 10 weeks. Two days after that is when I'm shipped off to Groton for training. From what I understand though it is set up almost like a regular college. Five days a week for school and the weekend off for the most part. So the moment I figure out my schedual I'll be able to play all the time.

Damn that video on mattsoutback is one of the best news stories I've ever seen in terms of exposure to the non playing public.

I'm addicted, at this point I only kill terrorists lol; you're not a terrorist are you? Really though thanks alot for the offer as I am not sure if and when I'll be provided gov. transportation. I'll let you know the first day I'm able.

This might be a good opportunity to ask a few of you how CT is in general? Never been, hell I've never even been close to CT. I've already looked up general info on weather, population, average occupation, etc. on a few websites; and so far I've found that there are more guys than girls in Groton

Where is the scene, and what do people in their 20's do to have a good time? I'm outdoorsy, any rock climbing, biking, or fishing?

There is plenty of fishing, especially on the long island sound. It's also really rocky terrain for the most part so there is plenty of mountain biking as well.

alot of the kids in school from the subase come over the bridge and go drinking in downtown new london. that's basically it for our side of the state.

well yea of course more dudes than girls...youre on a sub base haha.....on the plus side for you, theres a strip club within walking distance and all the local girls are ****s for navy guys

....also there are 2 casinos with multiple nightclubs in them just down the road, so you wont find a shortage of scantily clad women there either.

oh and youre also walking distance from the ocean so fishing is pretty alright

That is good to know I'll have to buy a bike and a pole while I'm up there 8 months is a long time.

any other places to meet women who arn't constantly bombarded with horny sailors? College towns? When I do get a vehicle driving distances won't be an issue, here in Texas driving 30-60 miles to get somewhere is the norm. i live in NL as well. there's a strip of bars down here on Bank St. as a heads up theres 2 gay bars there, although they look like every other bar on the street.

On the other side of NL theres Ocean Beach, on your side of the bridge you have the casino's and the Gold Club like Brent said.

Just saw your post. Lol I know the base with be lopsided, although you'd be surprised at the number of fine girls in the navy. I was going off population stats for Groton. Thanks for the info a shortage of fine girls is never good imo

the big scenes in ct for people our age are new haven and hartford without a doubt. new haven is about 45 mins from where you are and hartford about the same but a little closer to an hour. ECSU is prob about 15 mins from you but that college kinda sucks. UCONN is right down the road from matts which is also about 45 mins from you. If you like clubs and such hartford is really good for it, in the summer they hold block parties up there every few weeks which are always insane. otherwise you could go to providence RI or something too, but thats about the same distance as everything else lol.

your coming into the northeast, there are not many good looking girls in the northeast. its nothing like california, the south, texas etc. alot of people are born and die here, and there isnt much sun lol. your best bet is to go to the clubs at the casinos which are close to you, you get the best draw from the surrounding area there usually. just remember those bars are ****ing expensive compared to your usual night club. my buddy works on the sub base for general dynamics and now lives in groton and he does go to new london every now and then i guess. westerly in rhode island also apparently has some pretty good bars as well.

as far as paintball goes at this point in the states balling history, matts is the only place to go for xball. hogans doesnt run a team anymore so matts is all thats left. ct is predominantly xball teams so thats good for you, there will be a team for just about every skillset.

Thanks alot for the info guy. When you say expensive you talking $10 drinks or $20 drinks? About the women, it's all good. I won't be looking for a wife or anything just a few girls to chill with. Considering bootcamp will be 10 weeks of all men, I'm willing to bet CT will have plenty of girls that catch my attention

That makes me want yall to come down to Austin for a week where there is no shortage of beautiful girls. 6th street just might be one of the best streets in the world. The entire city is covered in live music, counter culture, and young people.

About paintball, dude Mattsoutback looks real legit I am honesty not worried about being able to play and have a good time anymore I can't wait.

haha ya i know how it is man. im from california and i went back and visited this past summer and i still dont know why i havent moved back yet. as far as the club its i the area of 10-20dollar drinks. they also have a VERY strict dress code at the casino clubs. dress shirt pants and shoes, and clean styled hair.
