Ok its Time

Time to build my first automag, been trying to do some research on them. My first one i want to build just a basic mech gun, do i need the x valve and Level10? or is that geared more towards the e-mag? still new to these. also where are some good cool looking mainbodys? i will be updating this thread as i get new parts and get this thing up and running. all help is appreciated

I am happy for you!

k few thoughts. Just for starters.

The automag and minimag are exactly the same thing. Just a different body style. With both you have a stock/classic valve with a regular bolt. On both markers you can add a level 10 bolt kit to replace stock bolt. The level 10 bolt prevents chopping of paint in the chamber. (there are many different types of bodies like the ULE(various colors) The standard feed and power feed to name a few.

With the Automag ULE RT and the tach one they are the same gun just different body style. There markers a big step up from classic valve. These markers have a reactive trigger and have no shoot down at all and uses the x-valve. Shoots very fast and you have keep up with most electros.

If you decide to get a mag classic first then later you can replace your classic valve with a x-valve and boom you have a automag RT.

Bottom line is these markers are extremely customizable! There are dozens of different set up you can go with! This is a kinda general description!

I will pm you a pic of my newest mag once i get it together next week!

Good luck on your project!

what he said, you can shop around for one that fits you or build one to suit. with an automag you have a chance to stand out and not shoot the current trend the cookie cutter companies stamped out. if theres something you dont like about your mag, you dont have to replace the whole gun to change it

oh and take some time and go through each page of the automag picture threads here and on automags.org. also the mag of the month past winners. find what you like and we'll tell you where to find the parts

Ah ok. Thanks. So does the response trigger on the automag work the same as response trigger on a tippmann. Im not really a big fan of that. I should be ok with a classic valve level 10 bolt and electric hopper right.

I just want a simple mech gun

works a little different. they have to be broken in require high pressure tanks to work like that.

well a tippmanns rt trigger is WAY exaggerated. you have to accually try to do that on a VERY well tunes mag with a very high input of pressure.

I would ask around on AO if theres anyone with a mag that lives somewhat close to you. more then likely youll find someone willing

good call, what ever you do get a lvl 10. mags are great but a lvl 7 bolt can drive you nuts

plus sticking your finger in the chamber and seeing your friends faces when you pull the trigger is priceless

i still remember getting my lvl 10 bolt during the beta test run of it and going out with my friends to play... I'm like "I wonder how much it would hurt to put my finger in here and pull the trigger"...

"DO IT"

"No, It'll hurt and I dont wanna go to the doctor"

someone from the back "I'll give you 20$ to do it"

"I'll pitch in 10$"

5 min later there was a good sized pot (50-80$ cant remember) and I, with a good bit of acting and hesitation put my finger in the chamber and pulled the trigger.... PFFFFFFFT

there were alot of angry people that day and playing hurt
