it's all about that college degree and extra piece of paper.

but they really should pay you guys better. The only way to really justify it is because a lot of you live in the dorms so you don't pay for a house and you're on a meal card so you can eat for free. I know it's chow hall food but it's still free. Pretty much every cent that they pay an airmen living in the dorms is play money. I know one guy that pockets most of his paycheck because all he pays for is an old *** flip phone. He doesn't own a car, he doesn't do a lot of stuff on the weekends, and he takes his money and buys silver. Dude has something like 16k in silver and only sewed on SrA a couple months ago.

Meh I'm out of the dorms My BAH isn't enough to cover rent by myself. Also my raise from SrA to SSgt is only like 200 bucks. What kinda **** is that?

well from O-1 to O-2 you go from being generally helpless and untrusted to sometimes capable and trusted to know how to tie your shoes. that's worth a significant pay raise.

^I'd like to say that I know for a fact that I was the least busy LT in the Air Force but I can't. but the amount of time that I spent at work with nothing to do was practically criminal and they should have charged me rent to occupy that desk.

and for the love of Zeus, if somebody pisses you off don't go on a tirade in a 30ish person briefing about when you got called back for a non-emergency while you were eating lunch at your house, especially when they aren't even there. And then a week later tell the other half of the ops crew the same damn thing! I think it's a bit extreme but my flight chief brought up the possibility of pulling their line number for E-7.

I swear, in four months I went from making my supervisors lives hell to my subordinates making my life hell...
