I have played paintball a few times before but thats about three years agoo.. i was wondering if you guys could help me out on some of the "slang". I know the names of some of the air bunkers, like snake, and dorito, but that is about it ..

ok,one more thing i am wanting to get a etek3 is that a good choice

Etek 3s are very solid mid range guns. They're essentially ego 8s without the emortal board. However a marker is the last thing a new player should be buying.

well ive played with the rentals and had a ion before. i didnt like the rentals at all, and i liked my ion.. thats why i thought i would go up to a etek

Either way that's 500 for a gun that could be spent on a tank, hopper and a very good mask. All of which will provide a bigger improvement in your game than upgrading from a 98 to an Etek 3. If you absolutely cannot stand shooting 98s, most dye dealership fields have the rail + rotor promotion going on.
