As stated, there were only a few SL91s, and they were never put in to production or put on sale to the public.
There were ten sets of SL91 parts produced, intended for use as prototypes/pre-production test markers. However, for a long time, only one of these markers was actually assembled, tested and taken to tournaments and trade shows - this marker belongs to 7lash at Planet.
For a while, there was no intention to assemble the rest of the SL91s - the SL91 wasn't going to go ahead in it's current form, and so it was going to be consigned to history, with 7lash's marker being a totally unique one off..... but Jack had other ideas!
The other nine sets of parts had been sat under Jack's desk at Planet, getting in the way, so he decided to assemble one for himself.
The choice was then made to offer six people close to Planet the opportunity to buy one of the remaining eight SL91s, and the last two were auctioned on eBay - it was the first of the two eBay SL91s that sold for $7000. If I remember correctly, the second went for $6200, or it might have been $6400.

Out of the box, they had some features that were more familiar to the Geo and Geo+ - for instance, the S3 reg and ST bolt kit - and some that were more in line with the Geo2 - board, frame, general shape etc.
Since that time, most SL91s have been updated with the Geo2 bolt kit and SL3 reg, and so are now even more like the Geo2.
