wherever I can in the area

Also, highrollers are a solid team out here. Some soldiers with 7th Engineer Battalion is forming a team also. MSM, it's more a casual tournament team for now with a deployment comming up for us. So if you're more serious for tournaments then I would suggest you check out High Rollers.

Also, the YMCA in Watertown is now doing reball on saturday mornings. The big set back is they use a 220 fps limit. There is a field here on Ft. Drum but the best place for competition would be in Syracuse at Headrush. Also, don't forget that there is Canada 30 minutes away.

ASP (Headrush) - Syracuse
Bulldog - Ogdensburg
Out Door Rec Fort Drum ( new field is under construction)
Boss Paintball - Geneva

Bulldog? I wasn't aware of them. I'll have to check them out then.
The new field at outdoor rec going to be in the same location? it's not a bad place, just the ground tore up and a lot of deep puddles all over the place when it rains. I dove into the snake and splashed everyone on the other side of the net back in October.

The original field is where the lodge is being built (if it is complete forgive me I have been in Afgan since April). The temp field we used last summer is on the skeet range and the “New” field is behind outdoor rec next to the lodge. It was supposed to be done in June but I gather it is not. There is supposed to be two fields put in the area left of the lodge.

Not sure, I've been out at NTC all month so I'll have to check it out when I get back in a few weeks. Thanks for the update and be safe out there.

headrush is the local indoor for paintball. the indoor field is white fill only there. They have a solid group of tallent that plays there consistantly. As stated above, the YMCA does reball on saturday mornings but it's inside the gym on the basketball court so it's a small field. I would say at best 3 maybe 4 on a team of tourny level ballers. If it's just rec play they can get away with more, but I would say 4 tourny level players per team would be the max on the field.

I will be gone by winter so will not be around. So if you guys are wanting to play tournament hit up High Rollers as they play the sceen and are a class act of solid players.

No we don't play in those events. It is hard to maintain a roster to play all the of NAPL events due to field exercises and deployments. We do the local monthly tournaments at the three fields I mentioned earlier. Our roster is pretty small never anymore than 10 at a time usually. We mainly play 3 man events and series because it is easier to field teams than 5 man events. That being said Headrush does put on a few 5 man events that we play in through out the year. Just none of the league stuff.

Yeah we volunteer coach for the youth paintball program on post and we helped the YMCA set up their program in Watertown. When you blow into town send me a pm with your email address and I'll send hook you up with the CPT of my team. We have a "Command" structure set up so that when I or any of my CPTs deploy the High Rollers don't fall apart. We have been playing tournys since NOV 08 and I don't intend on letting any deployments get in the way of my team remaining viable for the long run.

LOL, John how serious are you?

Insidious has a bunch of good guys on it as well. Kris Cooley the only real civilian that was ever on our team started/co-founded?? Insidious not to long ago. The two teams have the same goals be competitive and have a good time playing paintball.

The recruiting strategies are different though, I try to keep the High Rollers roster as much Military related personnel (Service Members, Family Members and Military Retirees) first and foremost where as Insidious recruits from the entire population. We do an interview verses a tryout because we can teach paintball skills we cannot teach personality. Since we work with kids and Fort Drum FMWR we look for personality traits that blend in well with our mission. We are successful because we have merged into a family unit and build upon and draw from each other’s experience both on and off the field.

Realistically you can’t go wrong with any team you play with because in the end you are still playing paintball. Even if you decided to start your own team the High Rollers will be there to help if you would like us to. It is all about paintball.

Thats a good way to run things, right now I have my old team name and ideas from before we broke up. Idk if I'm going to bring it back while I'm still enlisted though. I might if I re-class, but thats still in the air. I prefer the personality strategy as well because playing skills come with time. I run things more like a business.

Yeah, I am more likely to run it as a family with me being the team dad since I am usually 20-30 years older than my teammates.
