Hi kids!

I thought we should have a thread here for all you people out there that want a bit of feedback on your new setup.

Please include every part of the setup you want reviewed.

It might be a good point to include what you want to play with your setup (woodsball, speedball, stock class pump, and so on), and any financial limits (i.e how much you can afford to spend)

stuff like:

* Marker
* Marker upgrades
* HPA system / co2
* Barrel
* Hopper
* Goggle system


My Number 1 tip is: don't forget that you need to buy paint too.. a 3241543 bps marker won't be any good if you don't have any paint to shoot.

Please note:
This is NOT as VS thread. don't ask about which gun to buy.

If you've already bought a new setup, there isnt much point in asking if it was a good deal. If you want tips on upgrades, check out the marker specific forums.

alright well i'll start.. i got a good deal on 2 tippmann 98customs and a spyder e99 avant..

i play for fun every so often with a bunch of friends.. i like both speed and woods but my friends normally do speed a little more

i bought the following for $170:
-spyder e99 avant
-2 tippmann 98customs
-1 dye ultralite barrel (98c)
-1 pepperstick barrel (98c)
-3, 20 oz co2 tanks (all these need to be tested next year)
-1, 12 oz co2 tank (needs to be tested next year)

..i'm gonna sell one of the 98customs w/ a stock barrel to a friend

alright here's what i ordered to complete my setup:
-v-force profiler goggles
-some barrel socks
.. i think thats it lol

..and i got a questin about paint... is paint overpriced at my local field or is that just good quality paint?. where should i buy my paint from and what kind is the best for my moneys?

edit:.. lol i just read the part where "if you already bought your stuff..."
..oh well, any tips i guess?

Thats a pretty good setup ^^^. You should invest in some Pod packs too so you can stay in the game longer.

Marker Upgrades - Some Teflon tape to stop the leaking (lol)
HPA System - Crossfire 68/4500 Low Pressure with a Grey Dye Rhino Cover
Barrel - Stock PMR SE Barrel
Hopper - Empire Reloader II
Goggles - Elite Series nVader (Recently Spraypainted the Main white and the Plates black - it looks vicious)
Harness - Empire Fast Pack 3+2

I use this setup for woodsball and speedball, but i like speedball more (higher adrenaline feeling)

$170 sounds like an amazing deal.

As for the paint, it depends what kind it is. My closest field charges $55 for white box (factory screw-ups), and a field a little bit farther away charges $55 for near tournament level paint.

"Firstcallpaintball.com" has some really good prices and a no broken ball guarantee, and most pro-shops should have decent prices. Make sure that the field you go to has a BYOP (bring your own paint) policy, or else you'll spend $50 on paint and not be able to use it.

If that's the Revvy based Reloader then I'd look into upgrading it, as that seems to be the limiting factor in your set-up, but other than that it looks good.

Great setup, you might want to upgrade the reg on the crossy, but theres really nothing you can do to this setup to make it much better, other than the usual upgrades such as a vlocity chip (I recommend Gangstar, but it's preferenced-based.)

It isn't bad... I don't know about the price though. I don't know much about pumps, but I love my 98 sto cocker

Toss the lock lids. Many reasons
1 being they suck
People LOVE stealing them
They hold 160 meaning you have to wait 20 extra balls to reload
They break
Pain to open sometimes cause you have to fumble for the tab
Expensive
Hard to get in packs = hard to get out

Just from a lot of personal experience you may not feel that way but thats ok what ever works for you

Dont go from a pm6 to a dm6 just save up till you can actually make a big step forward like a dm7 or 07 ego. The myths are amazing. Other than that its pretty nice
