The MKIV sounds cool. That's a tank I want to build too. Can't wait to see pics. Good Luck!

PzD319,
Saw you noted that you'd found a neat missile for the
launchers. Just keep in mind there may be issues with
insurance if you're not using a Nerf or a BP foam round.
The Tiger someone else here is building also sounds
cool, especially if it's to scale. Would love to see another
Tiger like that one the guys in Michigan built a couple of
years ago. That reminds me, has anyone seen that new
german APC they built? German version of the American
WWII halftrack if I'm not mistaken, complete with custom
made tracks.
While I'm posting, has anyone here gotten in touch with
the ODX guys down in NC? They've got a bunch of pretty
sweet armor, including a unit that looks like a Bradley,
another which looks like a USMC LAV and yet another
that'll pass as a WW II British tank. Anyone interested
in learning more can get in touch with a friend of mine.
He owns Command Decision Paintball and goes by the
nickname 'Ferg.'
Sincerely,

Dorsai- Yes the ODX guys have some real nice toys. I went to fulda gap 2010 with my pak 40 anti tank gun.
My project isn't a "tiger" a tiger is a panzer VI. a panzer 4 is just a panzer 4(no animal name)(looks like a smaller tiger though). We know you have been Allied all your life so it's all good .
I saw the build of the fullsized halftrack.bad *** is all i can say

There is a give and take with a large, realistic looking tank. I enjoy operating a smaller non replica tank more then a large replica. But I loved owning my Bradley as it was just a point of pride owning a sweet looking, full size (or close too) monster. People loved it and I loved seeing people take pictures with it.
With an equal crew, my new tank would eat my old Bradley for breakfast. But at the same time, our large tanks have a better record then we do currently as the crews are to be honest, more dialed in. We've done plenty of games tanking but we have crewed five different tanks. Which goes to show, time and practice in your tank pays off, no matter its draw backs. No tank fights the same. Guns are mounted and operate differently.

Yeah I hear ya Jester. I made an MG-42 mod that went over my Spyder complete with bi-pod and ammo belt. Very Rambo! It looked bad***. Players would be impressed and look on in awe. But in the end it was just a Spyder under the hood Although, I learned to play a marker with a bi-pod. I could lay down grazing fire like nobody's business.
BTW, I just saw pics of Fulda 2011 and saw ODX's armored fleet. Very nice! Hope to play with/against you guys in the not to distant future.

Open Invite
PzD319, et al,
I've been asked by my commander to make another pitch to you
and everyone else who might not yet have committed themselves
to joining the Allied Army for this year's Oklahoma D-Day Event.
If you're looking to truely challenge yoruself as well as your tank
and crew, D-Day is the place to do so.
When it comes to tank battles, I'm sure you know what happened
on the eastern front at Kursk. D-Day isn't Kursk, but any time you
find yourself facing upwards of 15 enemy tanks, not to mention a
small hoard of die hard AT gunners, for hours on end, you'll come
away with a respect for what the folks who run D-Day Park have
created for us.
Time is growing short, soon the prices will rise and the remaining
slots will be filled. As it is, we've already reached our cap when it
comes to aircraft, so that just leaves a few remaining slots in the
2nd Armor to go. BTW, did I mention members of the 2nd have
access to the unit commander's swimming pool?
Thanks!
