Take two people:

5'5" 130

6'2" 175

(keep in mind these are estimates on average skinny-fat people)
both 15% bodyfat

never lifted a weight in their life.

Who's going to lift more? It's obvious the tall person will out lift the short one due to more overall mass.

Depends on what lift. Bench press I doubt it, but I've heard that deadlifts are easier with people with longer legs/arms.

Mm if I remember correctly from physiology the shorter person is going to have an easier time lifting weight. I forgot the exact physics involved, but I think it has to do with how levers and that stuff work.

This analogy may explain it for you - its like your using a shovel. You have the handle on one end, the force is applied to the other and your other arm is somewhere in between. The closer your other arm is to the load - the easier it will be lift it.

Now translate this to doing curls. The force is applied at your hand, the handle is at your elbow, and "your other hand" is where your brachialis/biceps inserts onto your forearm. Common sense tells me that the longer your arm is, the further away "your other hand" (insertion of muscles) is going to be from the load. i.e. - harder to lift.

This is about as factual - no bull**** speculation I can get.

could you be slurpin on his dick any harder?? come on bro. dudes in good shape but bursting at the seams? maybe if he was 230 and 5'4.. stretch marks affect everyone differently. i know dudes that have horrible stretch marks and arent big at all. difference in skin i suppose.

at the top levels smaller dudes lift more weight lb for lb. obviously more of their lbs are muscle and they dont have to move the weight as far. but yes you are right smaller dudes are smaller to start.

Ok. So we somewhat dismissed builds of average male height's...but what about serious lifters?

How about this:

5'6 at 180
6'5 at 260
Both at very nice body fat levels ~6-8%

Now what? See, in this case, I feel like tall people have more potential to be stronger overall. Filling out the frame is harder, but IF it does indeed get filled out, wouldn't the taller guy lift way more weight due to overall more surface area of muscle? Granted there is still a lot of bone mass, but shouldn't the length of the muscles compensate for this?
