I'll do that then. O-rings should be here Wednesday so I'll try and do everything this weekend. Thanks irony.

but first

if slightly changing the dwell, or having changed the dwell at some point, what would be a recommended dwell setting?

I have tried this method, I have a used axe with a boss bolt and when I try to take down the pressure or do anything it won't go over 80 FPS (which while making for some pretty amusing games is very annoying)

picking up a 2015 axe pro today, anybody have a specific setting for smoothness? don't care about efficiency but love an axe that "poofs" the ball out rather than smacking it lol

Wanting to fine tune my 2014 Axe Pro. Does this method also work for the new Axe? Any suggestions?

The new Axe is functionally the same as the old Axe, so yes, it should work just fine.

In step 1 when you say 150-160, do you mean speed (FPS) or pressure?

It says pressure... psi should be 150-160.

So I did this tuning method, but my shots are really inconsistent. 280 - 295 fps.
Also, I don't know if this has to do with the tuning method, but I am experiencing first shot drop

FSDO on a poppet usually means you have a damaged seal somewhere, and inconsistency can stem from the same problem, so you need to deal with that before attempting to tune the gun.

Don't know what you went to for dwell, but I recommend no lower than 6.5ms. Also, the oring on the poppet and a weak battery are 2 more common reasons for inconsistency.

I've had my Mini Gs for a little over a month now with about 2000 shots through it. I'm really unhappy with the consistency of the shots. Balls are hooking, dropping short of my target, and the spread is bad. I would like to think that, maybe it could be the paint quality, but i'm shooting empire marbalizer. I've cleaned my gun and relubed it. I've mostly been using a .685 cp one piece.

Stock settings on dwell and stock bolt.

I really don't care about air efficiency, a hopper and 5 pods is good enough for me as I play at a free air all day field.

I just want a good, consistent shot.

any help?

Balls hooking is not the gun.... usually it will be due to moisture or either crooked or soft paint.

I worry that he over-lubed the gun and has some grease on the bolt face or on the barrel. Make sure your dwell is not less than 6.5ms.

The shot was not that consistent before I cleaned it. I thought I wiped the face of the bolt after I lubed it, but I'm not positive.

Dwell is stock at 8
