Been considering it for a bit, but it is hard to find fellow nerds let alone ones who are not -1's out of 10.

That's true, though what happened there I always be thankful for as it caused me to turn my life around.

edit:
Sat in on one of the Calc I lectures this morning. I found it pretty enjoyable so I think I am going to start attending them more when I have time.

Talked to the prof I TA for afterwards about being able to take Modern Algebra while taking Intro to Abstract Math, which is a prereq for the former course. Prof encouraged me to talk to the prof who is currently teaching intro to AM about sitting in on lectures this semester. It fits into my schedule, so I am going to talk to that prof today and hopefully be allowed to get some preemptive learnings. Intro to AM sounds fun if their proofs operate in anyway that is similar to the ones that we do in symbolic logic.

Hence why most girls don't talk to me.

Looks like I am now attending 21 hours of lectures a week.

Though I skip symbolic logic a lot and I am considering ceasing attendance all together.

I wish I could get out of Audit, the class is like torture. No notes to be taken, no opportunities to answer questions and nearly pure memorization and regurgitation. I leave those lectures thinking "WTF man?" She has quizes every other class though, so not many choices. Plus on days we have no quizes she definitely takes note of skippers.

I've asked them, just waiting on a reply, I'll hassle them again.

What are y'alls thoughts for best tablet if I am just using it for school textbooks pdf? Ipad2? Not trying to spend more than $400 and honestly if there is something with a slightly bigger screen that is the same price or less I would opt for that as I mostly just want to view textbooks on the device.

Pretty happy because I finally got my audit book on pdf. Already have my calc and accounting book on pdf as well.

Kindle fire if you're gonna be mostly reading on it. I have a couple textbooks on mine and it's fine. Although I'm not sure how good it would be for math stuff, it's great for the business textbooks I have.

Would not waste money on an iPad, if all you're doing is textbooks. Look into cheaper Android tablets or even the Kindle.

Assuming you want a 10" not. 7", and you don't care about android vs ios, I'd see what the price point on the Google nexus 10 will be. It's going to be announced next week.

If 7" is fine, there are a ton of good Chinese tablets for under $150. Ainol crystal comes to mind.

Honestly, if you're gonna use it for school get one of the Samsung Note tablets. The stylus is pretty sweet, and Samsung is doing some good stuff with them. Android 4.2 (coming out soon) adds stylus support too.

I love my 10" Lenovo K1 tablet. They don't make it anymore, though they do make the 7" A1 tablet, which seems to sell pretty well. Otherwise, I've found that tablets are a big preference thing. If you can, go out and see if you can test one out for a little bit, or ask a friend with one to let you take a look at it. I prefer Android, and if you're using it for mainly textbook PDF files, I don't see a lot of sense in paying for an iPad unless you can find a good deal, or plan on using it for other stuff as well.

Yeah, but that's a phone. I do kind of want one, though; I may get one once I'm back from Basic/AIT.

EDIT: In other news, I may have pulled a B out of my *** on this Art History exam. My writing skills are my absolute saviour. Given the extreme lack of effort I've given towards my studies in this class, I would honestly be okay with a C. I need to get my *** in gear; this is the only class I consistently slack on, and it shows. It's a good thing my other classes are doing well, as I have two nigh-guaranteed A's and high B/low A potential in two others.
