Uncomfortable vest!

Hey, 'Nation!
I recently bought my first vest, the one I've had my heart set on since I started paintballing. The Tippmann Patrol vest. So, I got it home, filled it with pods, tank, and normal gear I would carry. Immediately, it slid backwards down my back and the neckpiece lodged itself against my throat. After experimenting with the million straps on this thing, I was able to get the vest to stay roughly forwards, however the adjustment strap is pressing uncomfortably against my stomach. Is it all vests that do this, or just this one? How can I get it to work right? Again, never really dealt with this problem before, so just looking for some advice!
Noah

Pics with arrows might help as all vests are different with different adjustments and features

A lot of these vests are made to fit a whole range of sizes, so if you're on the smaller side, it's going to fit a little loosely. With that being said, you're on the right track. Keep fooling with the straps until you find something comfortable. It might not be perfect, but it will work.

Okay, thanks!
I've been playing with the straps quite a bit and it seems to let me at least move around and run without choking me or requiring adjustment. Here's the photos of me wearing the vest and just how it rides:

This was before I adjusted anything, and you can see how far it was pulling my T-shirt backwards and to the side.

Tippmann Patrol vest (I believe) should have a velcro compression strap on the inside, fits around your waist and serves as an attachment point to hold your pods and tank (heaviest part of the vest)

Look into a DUTY BELT, see if your vest has straps on the bottom of it...i fixed this issue buy attaching my LEG DROP DUMP POUCH (left leg) and PISTOL HOLDER (right leg) to the Straps on the bottom to balance the weight of everything..Also i Connect my SLING to the drag pull clip on the back to pull the vest FORWARD..

Yes, indeed it does!
I found this bit and I think I fixed the problem. I had to adjust the size, then pull the vest forwards and push the velcro onto the bottom of the vest. Solved the problem. I also found that no matter how much I adjust it, with a full load of paint and my giant steelie tank, it sags. I'll run it with just a couple pods rather than the full load of six. Thanks for the help, guys, I think I solved the problem!
Noah
PS: What do the straps hanging down from the bottom of the vest do? They're a pair of straps that don't appear to serve any function, attached only at one point.

They can be clipped to a belt to hold the vest down...or to hold the belt up if you are running a holster and other things on the belt.
