What he said. The gauge and the fill nipple position can be swapped however but not the burst disks.

Also, please note that not all fill nipples are the same material...I bought a ninja magnetic nipple cover to use in my luxe maxflow...only to find that the fill nipple on my maxflow is aluminum, not steel.

AHHHH, i may be wrong on this but i believe that all fill nipples are steel. i think there is a DOT law regarding this, there are different forms of steel but steel none the less, i have had quite a few luxes asa and maxflo versions and ALL have had a steel fill nipples. SP in its later days had just come out with the mini fill nipple similare to the ninja one and it was steel also, Stainless steel for that matter.

I knida figured someone would say it can be done. It can, if you remove the orienting setscrews and turn the bonnet. You must also buy new setscrews as the ones you take out wont go back in. I would not recommend doing this. The maxflow is milled and designed to screw completely together and line up correctly so the screws can be put into place locking the bonnet to the housing.

the set screws just grasp, orientation is not key.
The same set screws can be used, and if u want to be semi safe u could even use some type of loctite.
The milling on the outside of the maxflo makes no difference(besides appearance)..

which ..comfort/appearance.. any day.

first u say it cant be done, now it can..
hmmm

not trying to argue, but the answer is YES, it is possible.
thats all he was asking for.

You could also jump off a 10 story building and live. But I recommend you don't.

This is not true. The setscrews used are the same that is used to hold the reg together. They have a small nub on the tip of them which once screwed into the maxflow fall into a groove to keep it from unscrewing. I said it cant be done because its not recommended.

You didnt get 10 different answers you got 2. Yes it can be done, no its not recommended.
The GA nipple along with the Ninja will fit.
The only way to stop the digging is to swap the gauge and nipple or go with a smaller nipple.

Ragin: ah forgot about the slight indentions, orientation does play a role.
But either way they are applying force in the same direction.
Donkey: as I stated it is highly frowned upon but players even pros do/did it.

I didn't tell you to, and if your a novice gun mechanic i really shun the idea.

Buy a smaller fill nipple or buy a Asa
Problem solved

Just swap the nipple/gauge. Even the mini nipple dug into my wrist when I had the maxflo version.

Buy a Ninja mini gauge and throw that on where the nipple goes.
