Official Punk Rock Thread

Is there one? I did a search and came up with nothing really. The General Hardcore Thread looked promising but it is hardcore, not punk rock. And by punk rock im not talking about blink 182 or good charlotte or any of those lamestream bands.

No. Most punk threads end up turning into pop punk threads because people think it's acceptable because it had punk in the name.

What kind of **** are you into?

Choking Victim (Leftover Crack), No Ca$h, basically anything Crack Rock Steady. Street punk bands like a Global Threat.

Theres one band I've been listining to recently that has a few pretty damn good songs called Above All Hope. I can't find their damn CD anywhere, nor can I find their music other than myspace.

What about you? I'm always looking for new ****.

Choking Victim/Leftover Crack is great. So you want to be a cop is one of my all-time favorites.

Yeah that's a good one. I would have to say one of mine is Clear Channel, they are all good but the end in Clear Channel is ****ing sick.

The channel we've been tuned to is all frigid, blank and clear
Told what to eat and drink and buy and whom to hate and fear
Poisoned by the fairy-tale, A capitalistic dream
Go to sleep, You're free and brave, and on the winning team

No way to die!!!! **** yeah

I like the last two, the first is cool but its a little slow and old school for me. The crazy spirit logo kinda cracks me up cause I once told one of my drunk friends to stab me through the hand, gave him a knife and put my hand on the table. He stopped right before it got there though and was like "dude you didn't flinch" (in b4 "looks like we got a badass over here").

guess i should post some vids and make this the punk rock thread.

Any opinions on folk punk (Mischief Brew, Wingnut Dishwashers Union, etc etc)?

street punk blows
crack rock steady can't stand that anymore
Most punk pisses me off because it's so ****ing leftist. Folk punk is decent but the punkier the songwriting the ****tier.

The punk ethos isn't inherently leftist but talking bout how bawwwww capitalism is, is.

I prefer blink 182 to aus rotten but that's just me. I don't think pop punk deserves the bad rap it gets.

it's probably because most of the punk rock scene hates mainsteam. Don't get me wrong whenever im at a party I'm always willing to put on Blink 182 cause I know that everyone will like it, but that's also part of the reason why I tend to stray away from those bands.
