That forge makes uppers used by quite a few big name makers. I wasn't sure if he bought 2nd hand or was the 1st owner.
Fully shrouded bolt carrier (ala m16 = best)
Semi shrouded (semi = good) and unshrouded (semi = bad  )
If you carrier is unshrouded, get a new one (shrouded or semi shrouded).

Need teh ammos (.45 and .223), but I had just recently purchased my carbine AR for $675 (keyhole upper, CAV-15 lower and Yankee Hill folding rear).

Speaking of, I need to finish that BoB. I'm unsure wether I should try stuffing it all in my CamelBak Transformer or get a 3 day pack.

Might be a little of both or just a bad picture. That EOTech, or whatever optic it is, looks HUGE, and so does the magazine. Seems bigger than .223 or 5.56.
