Looks like we're not watching from home. Although Mason is. Oh well, can't win them all.

12 open teams, 20 beginner teams. Pretty decent turn out. I'd say it ran smoothly for the most part. Didn't hear too many complaints aside from a few reffing calls which you're always going to get at every tournament.

I'm sure it was a little TOO close for comfort for the powder blue fans. I don't think UNC took the lead until like a minute left in the game. It was actually one of the better ones that day. Unfortunatley, I'm down to the Sweet 10, as six of my Sweet Sixteen are out.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the game since I was at Pevs at that time.
It'll be interesting to see how it goes if UNC meets up with Ohio St. Our front line is pretty imposing but Jared Sullinger is a big boy. Our front line is tall but I think Sullinger should be able to push them around since Henson is thin as a stick and Zeller isn't much bulkier.

Were people complaining at a free tournament? Awesome. Any sandbagging in the beginner set?

I enjoyed the guy we caught going 22bps ramping. And the player whos gun was shooting 331 FPS.
We chronod two players from every team before every game and the guy who hung the flag.

Yeah, I think there was 1 team that had to be disqualified because they were winning all their beginner games in 20 seconds. Needless to say, they didn't belong in beginner.

Right now if I were any team in O$U's path I'd be worried. That game last night was like watching an NBA team play a high school team; and I by no means mean that as disrepectful towards Mason.

Are you kidding me? This is America; complaining is our leading export.

i think most guns were over 300 with the white handheld chrono, not sure what was up with that, but glad they switched. Only complaint i had was, i feel like the boundries could be marked alot better, but it was the same last year at the PTS events. def one of the smoothest running pts events yet. there were alot of exciting games

There is no official 3 man field. PTS is done basically using a full size field and splitting it in half. All the lines and hashmarks on that field are for an NPPL field I believe.
They were probably more lenient on the boundaries on the beginner field. Most teams playing in the open division should know better than to run wide when going to bunker someone. And if they don't, I guess it's a learning experience if you get pulled for that during a tournament.

I'd throw VCU and Butler in there too. VCU's play against a solid Purdue team was impressive. Butler is also playing well in close games (with their first and second round games this season and a significant number last season being won by 1-2 points). Still, I'm impressed with how badly VCU showed up Purdue. They really exploited their weaknesses.
Ohio State just destroyed a very solid GMU team. Even if Luke Hancock had played I don't think GMU would have stopped the 3's from raining down. They look poised to go far and win the thing. Speed, long range shooting, defensive size. Good recipe for winning.

I'd throw F$U in that mix as well. They took down a pretty strong Notre Dame team and have had nobody talking about them. They're making a nice and quiet run through the tourney.

Yeah, that's a good point too. It'll be an interesting 10 vs 11 seed match up for sure. Richmond's played well, I just can't see them beating Kansas though. Which means a Kansas-FSU or Kansas-VCU match up. This is why March rules.

The hash marks on both turf feilds could use to be redone. It drives us crazy when we are setting up our seven man layouts.

yea the tourney was very fun, our team was more of underdogs than anything, i had to bring my backup gun for a friend to use, and the other guy had to use a tippmann, anyways we went 5-2 and would of made it in the finals but we had to be faster capturing the flag by .8 of a second. so overall very fun
