I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that you can do that with an ego 11, just slide to where you want it on the t-rail and tighten it down.

Saw one of these un-milled egos at my field the other weekend, wasnt allowed to see it up close, definitely something new going on inside it though. After each game the person would change some settings, re-chrono and play the next game. I assume working on finding the best base settings for the gun.

Any design, for nearly any product made, can be improved upon. One of the biggest complaints over the years has been the "rough" shot of the Ego. Particularly from those who prefer to shoot Bob Long. If Planet Eclipse can ever get the cycling pressure (LPR) reduced to say.....75 psi, I think it would make a world of difference in shot quality. Use of the Zick 2 rammer and adjustable exhaust porting on the solenoid has helped tremendously. However, the Ego's cycling pressure has been right around 100 psi for a long time now. A reduction of 20-25 psi would make a HUGE difference in the way an Ego feels when shooting. Finally, there is the issue of ergonomics. The trend for many years was a very tight set-up. In the last few years that trend has been moving towards a more stretched out set-up. It appears from the photos that the "unmilled prototype" gun has indeed been further stretched in comparison to the 11/CSL. I hope so anyway.
So with that said, I can't say I agree that there isn't room for improvement on the Ego platform. I'm excited and can't wait to see what PE has done.

Sound signature was Ego 11.

*1. MAKE AN EGO THAT ISN'T A CANNON. Of the 2 years playing i've only heard 1 ego that wasn't a cannon.
2. More to the body like a G6R. Ego 11's were to flat and straight for me. The G6R has a nice body structure to it.
*3. Smoother like a G6R.
4. Better stock barrels(hate the Sl barrels)
5. More tuning like a G6R.
6. Better feel/stretch like a G6R.

My thoughts.

Sounds like you should just shoot a G6R...

Not to pour any gas on the fire - but do know, Jack Wood is a HUGE car fan, and something the auto industry does when testing new models is camo/hide the bodies to hide their new lines etc.

So it is highly possible they have test markers in the field testing out the internals without letting on to a new body design etc.

While a trick noid is cool, you shouldn't have to choose between rof and smoothness. There's plenty of poppits out there that are soft and can still cycle 20+ times a second. If eclipse does lower the lpr and maintains rock solid reliability they will have a winner on their hands. My team mate owned a g6r and was always messing with the pressures. A real pain in the *** if you ask me.

I should huh.. sorry my american made bl gun does everything better then a ego would. Wait no it doesnt, if i fall on my gun i'll hurt myself cause my frame doesnt have a "snap" feature
