I'm sure you've heard this a thousand times, and I just read through a thread and should probably be posting in the FAQs section. But, as you can probably guess, I'm looking to get a nice beginnerish level camera. I'm looking for something that I can use for paintball and everything else. I need something that has a higher fsp and with higher quality. I don't really know anything about "camera talk" and sure I sound like a scrub. Here's what I have know, its a crappy Sony camera and the button you push to take pictures fell off, it looks similar to this.

I've been around a lil and have taken a decent amount of pictures. Here's a couple:

They aren't all that great though, haha.

I want one that I can put it on a tripod for like 3 hours, and it can take a picture every 10 seconds; I have no idea how to do that, but it looks sick. Then you can make a video with all the pictures or whatever. I also want to get a fisheye lense.

So can you guys let me know what camera I should/shouldn't get and what lenses and other stuff I'm going to need. Please be nice.

Interval time shooter to make a time-lapse, and a fisheye lens. lol.

Id recommend a Nikon D3100 or D5000 because it has interval time shooting built in. As for the fisheye, id look for an opteka that runs around 100 bucks.

thanks man, to do a timelapse for basically all the cameras, can you just plug them in with a cord for power, or do they have a really big battery?

Well im no pro in time lapses but a Nikon d5000's battery lasts me 1000 shots.

im pretty sure it uses a chargeable battery, so you should just be able to plug it in. right?

No, to charge the battery, you must remove the battery.

What you could do is get a grip, which you can put 2 batteries in instead of the 1. That'll give it longer battery life.

When shooting time lapse, the camera will simply run until the battery gets too low. Battery grips will allow you to run two batteries. Keep in mind most DSLRs last a long time on a single charge... A few thousand photos on a single set of batteries is not out of the ordinary.

Some cameras also have DC adapter dummy batteries which would allow you to run them indefinitely off an outlet.

It sounds to me like you should look into buying into a DSLR system, Canon, Nikon, whatever... And then for a fisheye look at the Samyang/Vivitar 7mm which is a superb performer and as affordable as they get.
