Moved to the versus thread.
Might I suggest that you also have a look at the stuck "truth about the Etek3" thread.

Etek with Star Frame vs Etek 3? i REALLY loved how the Etek felt, but have never touched an Etek3. no marker i have used has felt as good as the etek, so would the Etek 3 feel different or the same? and is it really better?

If etek's stock,without zick2 or cure3.Axe.
But if etek is upgraded, then etek all the way.
But it depends on what type of gun you like to shoot.

etek 3 Lt or WGP Karnivor STO Pro
Hey guys I need some help. I'm buying my first gun to go out to the fields and play with my two boys. I was thinking about getting a new Etek 3 LT but I've always been fascinated by the beauty of an Autococker. I hear that there is a lot of tweaking that needs to be done with autocockers but I've always been very mechanically inclined and tech savvy so that's not a problem for me. What I'm wondering is which one is actually the better gun. The Etek 3 LT will be new but the karnivor will be used but in great shape for $500.
I would really appreciate some feedback from you guys especially if you have any experience with these two guns.

I'll not get in to the versus part of that question, but I would suggest that you look to see if there is an appraisal thread in the Worr and/or Autococker forums and ask if that is a fair price for the Karnivore. It is one of the more desirable Autocockers true enough, but Autocockers as a whole do not hold their value well, and that price might be a little high. Not sure though, as it has been a long time since I really looked at the price of 2nd hand Autocockers.

Since I last posted that question I decided that I would just go with the Etek 3 and build my own Autococker from scratch. Just to have one. Kinda like a hotrod.

Etek>autocock in every aspect but the shot
I have an etek2 w/ star frame on the way but I have an ego 8 n had an karnicocker and that cocker was the best damn shooting pb gun ive ever shot but wasn't practical for todays normal pb game. Woods ball tho it would work pretty good...but maintenance n re-tuning a cocker sucks. A etek is way easier to use n tune n clean plus shoots as well as the best top dollar markers..that's what I've read anyways. I've shot an tek3 tho and was very very impressed..idk hoped this helped
Edit: sorry I was lit writing this I wrote it as if I were comparing etek1n2s to a karni but my answer still the same

I just got my Etek 3 LT in as well as two Azodin Kaos guns that I bought for the boys. I have to say that the Azodin really shot some tight groups. I was a little concerned with the Etek as it didn't shoot so well but I think it was because I didn't know I had to tighten the barrel down all the way. I had only tightened it just to the o-ring. I ended up buying a Autococker SR on eBay for $150.00 it looks pretty good and I did a full clean on it. I cycled it a couple times but haven't shot paint through it yet. Going to try later this evening.

I don't dought that the etek is awesome I hear great things about both I wanted to know what would be the best buy for a 500 dollar gun. I like the reliablity of the etek but I have not read alot of problems with the fx either. There really close is price and the fx comes with a ape oled board just seems like the better buy in my book but the etek has been proven that it can hang with the best

I don't know about the FX but I can tell you that this Sunday I took out the etek 3 for the first time out of the box and it ripped! No problems of any kind. I only used semi capped the whole 11 hours I was there. I'm sure there were lot's of sore people getting out of bed this morning. Killed plenty.

Etek3 vs Etha
Better to pick up a used Etek3 AM or a new Etha? I know it's early but would be interesting to hear everybody's initial thoughts on this

Just got an etek lt with tech t hush bolt for cheap. I think i am still liking my reflex better. Only think i like is the trigger feels a little better because it pushes back.
The board programming is kind of silly in my opinion, you have to start adding flashing lights in 3 different categories which in my opinion is retarded.
The hush bolt doesn't make it too much quieter , hard to silence a machine gun.
Many say maintenance is easy which is half true. If you just need to lube the bolt it is easy breezy. If you need to take the gun apart however you have to mess with rammers , lpr ,spring ,ect . Too many parts
Now that i have both a reflex and etek I do not see why you would'nt stick with a spool valve gun. Quieter ,smoother I do not shoot that much so efficiency isn't on my top list. Also according to a few reviews the etek really only shoots 1-2 pods more which isn't THAT much of a difference. I know egos get many more pods but for the price point of 500 I would go reflex all the way.

Admittedly, having to add a value for tens, units and tenths is more complicated than usual (with the Etha, tens and units are now adjusted under the same parameter, and only tenths have to be added separately - moreover, parameters that can only have a unit value, such as the firing mode, only require you to add a unit value), but it does allow you full control of a value, rather than having a number of preset values to choose from. Some people may place more emphasis on full control of their markers programming than you do.
