To put it plainly, you suck...

Awesome thread title. Good work, reactionkilla.

Who wants to buy my Electro-Harmonix Polychorus pedal? $100 takes her.

I'd go with the combo, it will be plenty loud and MUCH easier to carry around.

Hows the ibanez doing?

I hate Jingle Bell Rock more than you can imagine! We've been playing it for jazz band nonstop. It's the worst song in the world.

combo wins.... if you are playing anywhere worthwhile, you will be mic'd regardless of # of speakers, so go for what you can fit into a car....

I'm learning Surfing with the Alien right now, one of my friends suggested it to me, it's one of the most fun songs I've played.

Im learning carol of the bells adapted from the Tran Siberian Orchestra, I wanna play it in class thursday along with my history themed christmas carol, if I can pull it off my teacher will love me.

Im just going to play the beginning dundundunddun-dundundundun and then the ascending and descending parts. Problem is I can play it fine in my room but when 25 kids are looking at me Im not so sure.

i was leaning towards the combo, will it be loud enough even without being mic'ed?

and jus, i'm not gonna lie i acquired a fender tele a few months after you sold it to me. the tele was outshining the artcore, so i sold the poor thing. it was hanging around like it was with you and i felt as though someone should enjoy it more than me.

I love Christmas. Two new guitars, what could be better?

This guitar sounds amazing and plays even better. Ibanez amazes me with their acoustics, this will be my third Ibanez acoustic.

And this beast...

well guys....still deciding on an amp...

have only been able to listen via youtube at the "boutiques" such as the ENGL Screamer, Mesa combos and others...

what i cant decide is this....how much does a name mean to people? i obviously want a diezel combo....adam jones, james het, and others use it, and those are the sounds i seek....not the exact the same tone....i tend to create my own sound as a hyrbid of others, which some do, but i find a lot of others creating the exact tone, and i dont dig that....

so, here it goes:
Randall MTS with Kirk Hammet modules
ENGL Screamer
Mesa f-30
Mesa mark 4 combo
ENGL thunder
Mesa Mk iv

I thought you said you sold, but I wasn't sure. Hope it went to a good home.

The combo will be plenty loud. Just buy it from a place with a good return policy, and if it isn't loud enough bring it back. The guitarist in one of my ensembles just got one of them and absolutely loves it.

I'd go with the Mark IV or the Randall. I might pickup a Mark IV down the line.

I'd go with the Screamer. But then again I'm an Engl fanboy.

Well here it goes for me. I just got recruited by a band, I don't even remember the name, but I played with them from 9-12 tonight and they gave me their set list and a list of songs to learn by friday. These guys are all at least in their mid-late 20's and were looking for a lead guitar player. Here's what I'm supposed to learn:

Torn - Creed
Breath - Breaking Benjamin
Lonely Train - Black Stone Cherry
Turn the Page - Metallica
Alcohol 'n *** - Hellyeah?
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

Also, this Thursday I have a show at the High School I attended last year (my junior year) with my other band, and we will probably be playing:

The Hell Song -Sum 41
Fully Alive - Flyleaf
14 Nights Ago - An original (mine)
Pyrats - Another original (also mine)
TNT - AC/DC

The band I'm playing with Thursday consists of me on lead guitar and backup vocals, a 16 yr old German foreign exchange student on rhythm, 17 year old girl singing and her 17 year old boyfriend drumming. With them I have to be playing at churches after the screamo bands to a crowd of teens, because that's how all the "scene" bands around here do it. But with my new band I'll be playing in bars and stuff- so it's a huge change of setting, but I hate the "scene" environment so I think this will be good for me. It's funny because I just turned 18 in September and I look so out of place playing with these new guys. I'm excited, but this is like damn finals week again, learning songs instead of physics and calc. Ugh.
