Eye on a revy
Ive been eyeing this rev-i for a quite a while now. Since christmas is coming. I gonna grab one for my self, but I have a little bit of knowledge about it. Any advice or tips, pro and cons I should know about this sexy gun besides my wifey cutting my balls in half for getting another gun. I currently own G3 SpecR and threshold.

if your g3s and threshy both work great, you wont have trouble keeping the revi up and running. It is very similar to the threshold. The board is an oled board with much nicer programming, the trigger is a "switchblad" trigger.
obviously the anno is really nice and it has the fancy gauge in the back. The techt bolt is also available for it.
One thing that alot of us will tell you is that we dont like the idea of 7th element making the boards for the new revi. They used to have APE oled boards which are THE BEST on the market (or were at the time).
I would find a nice clean one that is used. I know there were a couple very nice ones for sale not to long ago in the BST.

There are a couple on ebay as well. If you don't care about the color as much, then there is usually at least one used for sale. Otherwise, just be patient, because it seems most people keep their rev-i until they either quit or need money.
If you do buy it used, watch out if it still has the gauge backcap. Most people find it eventually leaks, and if the problem is within the gauge (as opposed to an oring), it is not serviceable, and you will need to buy the aftermarket backcap. Any other leaks are easily fixable, as with all DP markers.

It's $899 on DPshop. Around $450-500 is common, but if you see a $400 or sub, jump on it.

The rev-i is the the only DP gun i'd consider, not trying to bash DP, but I'm also a high-end gun fan, and this is the only DP gun that fits that bill nicely. I agree with the APE OLED/7th Element statement... the APE is a lot nicer. That being said, its a great gun and i would personally suggest you sell your G3 and recoup some of the losses in buying a Rev-i.....and to make the wife happy

I would never sell my rev-i for less than 450+. The ones that seem to sell the cheapest are the slate ones, simply because they are the least appealing looking colors.
My rev-i is on the block for sale though I will find it hard to part with.

I used to have a threshold, and recently got a great deal on a used Rev-I. If you're buying used make sure it comes with the two t- handled Alan keys as apparently they are pain to replace, as they are odd sized.
Still need to pick up a hopper for it, as I'm waiting for the Xmas sales. But man, you won't be disappointed!

I have #3 off the line. I got it a few months before it came out like 4+ years ago. It has been my work horse too. Nothing but good things to say. get a techt bolt for it and thats about all you will ever have to do. you will thank yourself later.

What upgrade can I do with revy besides the tech t bolt? Also the board if the stock board breaks from the older revy can I use the board from the latest revy which has the 7element board?

i hope its not a straight trade. if so your local shop is retarded or the revi is broken.
